I basically want this feature from RBC, but my bank, TD, doesn't have it and setting up and then balancing multiple account across banks just for one feature sounds like a pain when what I've been doing is simply auto paying off my credit cards so i never spend money on interest.
As for why this feature is attractive, I hate the idea of giving my credit card details to some poorly run website for some unique item and having them lose my information later.
Id much rather have the ability to close off that interaction for the small shops that dont do paypal or similar.
I was really excited for Paypal Key but they suddenly cancelled it and never had it available in Canada in the first place.
Are there any options?
I just want to not worry about this.
Nah unfortunately there are no other real options for you to hide your OnlyFans subscriptions and sketchy porn site purchases.
Wise (formerly Transferwise) offers a prepaid Visa card where you can also create/destroy virtual cards attached to that account.

Are there any fees associated with business virtual credit cards in Canada?
Are virtual credit cards safe?
Is Float's virtual card a credit card?
I do a lot of online shopping and I have had my card compromised a few times already from different merchants. Privacy.com is EXACTLY what I need where you can constantly generate a new card number to avoid these kind of issues. Someone said KOHO, other said STACK - but none of these let you generate a new card # for checkout. I actually have a US TD bank debit card, however Privacy does not let you sign up unless you are a US citizen. Are there ANY options online for Canadians that let you constantly generate a unique card for each purchase?
