Hi there!
I haven't ran a Minecraft server in a long time but a friend and I decided to boot one up together to play with the new DW20 pack. I downloaded the server files for the modpack from the FTB website and tried to run the install, but something seems to keep going wrong.
Whenever I try and run the start.bat file, I get the error message in this screenshot.
I've got the latest version of Java 8 (x64) and Java 17 installed on my computer as far as I'm aware. When I first run the server install file, I get this warning,"Path . already exists - still want to install?", which I don't really understand.
If anyone knows what's wrong here, please let me know! I've been having some trouble finding a solution through Google so far.

The . in linux world is the current directory. If you want to install it there, just say y. If you want it somewhere else, put in that path. Here is a more detailed explanation. How Do I Set Up My Own Server

The error isn't really an error. It is telling you that the path ' . ' already exists. the period is the symbol for the current directory, which of course already exists. If you had provided a different location, then the script would try to create that directory instead. You should check to make sure Java 17 is the default. Also, that 'insert-jar-file-here' error looks like the installer script wasn't set up correctly. Someone probably copied and pasted without configuring the file name correctly. If you poke around in the zip file, you'll probably find the jar file, which you can edit into the start.bat file appropriately.

First I deleted all the forcedchunks.dat files in all the worlds, then started the server back up. This time, I got a better stack trace and details pinpointing which chunk and which world had an offending enderpump.

August 5, 2016 - Make sure you do this BEFORE you download a server and try to run it, otherwise it wont work. Also make sure the EULA is set to TRUE, and not false before installing the server.
