I live in a 3rd world country, and paying a monthly subscribtion to listen to audiobooks is unfortunatly impossible for me. So are there any free apps that can help me ?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe I’m gonna get flamed for this but I’m broke so whatever. Does anyone have a place where you can enjoy free audiobooks? I get 15 hours every month on Spotify but I listen way more than that, to buy 10 more hours on there it’s like $12.99. Then of course audible which is $16 a month and I get one credit LOL. Don’t drill me too hard, if I like the book, I buy the physical copy haha. TIA!
I'm broke asf and I want to know some good apps other than those cringy vampire romance books I see ads of? Also, my library card is expired so I can't do the library apps, and libraries ARE NOT an option as they are very far away from me.
I recently lost my subscription to audible and need a way to listen to other audiobooks for free?
I'm trying to listen to the audiobook Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez. It's my first time trying audiobooks. Well, I tried once before, but the ones I listened to sounded robotic, and I couldn't focus on them.
Any suggestions on where I can listen to audiobooks for free? Thanks to anyone who answers!
Your public library will have downloadable audio books, most of what is available on Audible, plus some. You may have have to put the more popular titles on hold but the wait times can be unexpectedly short and you’ll have a wealth of free material to choose from, all without leaving your home. Find your online connection to libraries.
Welcome to civilization; this is what taxes and public support build.
I’m sure this has probably already been asked but I’m new here! Is there any free audio book platforms you recommend? I have audible and kindle unlimited. They’re both fine but it’s annoying waiting for credits for audible and kindle unlimited doesn’t have everything I want to listen to. I work a lot and have a long commute so I just devour any media I listen to. I heard Spotify is going to start streaming audio books but that it wouldn’t be a subscription. I was just wondering if there was a better/unlimited option. I don’t mind paying for a subscription I’d just like unlimited titles! Thanks!
As a teen I do not have the money for an audible subscription or anything like that. Also not from the us so the library thingy wouldn't work.
Thank you in advance :)
Librivox - thousands of free audiobooks - thats the good news.
The bad news is that they are all "public domain" that means they are books that were published at least 40 years ago. Also, the readers are volunteers.
The good news is that most of the great classics, in all genres, are usually at least that old so there is plenty of good material to listen to. And although some of the readers are not so good, many of them are people aspiring to become professional readers (for audible and the like) and use this service to practice and build up a portfolio so there are some really good readers amongst them.
Spotify has some, there’s some posted on this post.
Not totally free, you need premium.
I am teenager and someone advice me to read or listen books a lot so I want to know is there any place to get free audiobooks. Currently I am looking for Harry Potter full series and other fiction books.
Hi! I haven’t been able to find any good audiobooks through Libby that don’t have long wait times. During warmer months I love listening to audiobooks while running, so I’d love your suggestions! I’m in the US in case that makes a difference. Thanks!
Project Gutenberg is a site that uploads free public domain ebooks to make them available to the public. It's a great resource for free ebooks but it can be hard to find books you might be interested in picking up if you don't know what you are looking for. I make these collections for r/FreeEBOOKs periodically to make it easier to find something to read.
I will be uploading new lists as often as I am able to on more topics or expanding some of the existing lists. Click the "follow" button on this post to be notified when they are uploaded.

Hey, I'm looking for a free website to listen to audiobooks. I used to listen to them on tokybook but they deleted the romance books and only left the fiction. And I'm looking for one that doesn't require a library card and is free. Thanks in advance.
I felt like reading books but sitting down, looking at a wall of text sometimes gets boring. Are there any free apps/websites?
I used to have an Audible sub, but it got too expensive. I have used audiobookbay, but not all the books are there. Sometimes there only 2 out of 4 books for a series.
I tried getting on MAM but I can't sustain the seeding that they require as I do not have uncapped internet and mostly download from data. Are there any free sites to download audiobooks from? Or even sites to listen to them online?
I don't mean public domain audiobooks.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Thank you for everyones replies. I got my hands on the series through a friend!😅🙈❤
