So this is a humble opinion from a "full stack developer": Once you learn the workings of a programming language, preferably a C/C++ derivative, you are able to work in any language. The concepts are the same, its syntax and memory control that changes. In short, if you know one language well you should be able to pick up and be functional in another pretty quick. That said, the difference between a full stack dev, front or back end dev, application dev, or embedded dev, is exposure to the way things work. If you have an understanding of how html/css/js all work together and can make something with them - congrats you're a front end dev! If youre familiar with the http/s transport layer, how to interact with other servers/make API calls and write sql to drive your code - congrats, you're a back end dev! Can you do both? Well... Thats a full stack dev! Of course, there are varying degrees of skill. Some full stack devs will be fine only ever knowing how to program and shuttle data back and forth and make it look pretty. This is fine and needed. Some full stack devs will invest their time in learning about the operating system and security, and user management and sso / etc... And just need to be aware that there is a front end they interface with. Over time, if you are properly compelled/motivated/interested, you will learn all of this. You will get better at it all with practice. And you will be exposed to even more if you decide to work on your own projects. So... In my opinion - be a software developer. Learn what you want to learn to be successful, and what is necessary for you to accomplish your goals. If you are lucky, they will align well with the profession you have chosen and you can also see monetary success for doing what you love. More on reddit.com

I use these notes daily to refresh my memory on various topics I've encountered, both for work and fun.
They're summaries written in the simplest way possible, as many tutorials tend to overcomplicate things.
The notes have been crucial to my learning experience, and I encourage everyone to take notes themselves.
I hope you find them useful.
Tell me what you think. :)
EDIT: Here are my older notes in a PDF file, covering the basics. I will move these in the Github ones.

Full Stack Developer Roadmap
January 6, 2026 - A good idea here is to pick up a full stack framework, such as NextJS or Django; they will make it easy for you to integrate the back-end into your project. Slowly start introducing database management into the mix. This will open up the door to more complex applications. Just remember to start with small projects to practice your full stack developer skills and gradually work on more complex ones.
