I love to take friends to Wash Park and rent a surry bike together or do the swan boats (especially in the evening as the swan boats get lit up). Olde Town Arvada or downtown Morrison for lunch. Or downtown Littleton is cute and nearby, Chez Lizeth is an amazing creperie with a darling vibe (get an affogoto, they're amazing). El Taco de Mexico in the arts district on Santa Fe looks like and feels like a hole-in-the-wall, but it's authentic Mexican that has earned it a James Beard award and write ups in travel magazines such as Sunset. An easy Incline hike can be found near Denver at Mother Cabrini Shrine & Grotto. At the top, you can see most of Denver. Down to the southwest is Roxborough State Park with some beautiful rock formations and the Chatfield Botanic Gardens location. For the most amazing night time view of Denver, and some really excellent food, I recommend El Five in the Highlands. Do a candle making class at Rosy Rings, its so fun to sip wine and sample scents. Lastly, the History Colorado Museum is hugely underrated, and they have a fun 90s exhibit right now. More on reddit.com

We’ve got the highest number of escape rooms per capita in the country (give or take). There are a ton of very cool ones, but Rabbit Hole Recreation Services is like, top tier in terms of the build out and props. Itchy-O is like the experience band in Denver. I’ve personally never been but I have a lot of friends that have been to their shows multiple times and rave about it. Camp Christmas is awesome. Don’t know when you’re looking to get these tickets for, but i know they’re open into the new year. Spectra Immersive Art Gallery always has a cool show going on. Their tickets will be on the cheaper side. Lumonics Light and Sound Art Gallery is also very cool and they often do light art classes, which could be cool. Generally smaller, immersive theater companies doing cool stuff in the area at any given time are Control Group Productions, Phantom Circus, and Audacious Theatre. The Catamounts in Boulder also does neat events, some are more or less theater-y vs immersive. DCPA is the big theater complex that’s very well-known, but it does usually have an immersive show going, although Theater of the Mind closes on Dec 18th. Also, there’s a company that does pub crawl ghost tours called Nightly Spirits. You drink at around 4 different bars and the costumed guide tells you ghost stories/history at each spot while you do.
