You cannot log into a Google workspace account (admin user or standard user) using an outlook.com email address. You can only log in using an email address that uses your custom domain that you manually added to the workspace. I would reexamine the emails you received during the initial setup process to see what your administrator email address (which is also your username) might be. More on reddit.com

From the admin portal, you should be able to generate 'Backup Codes' and use those. Also, you can install the open-source GSuite Apps Manager (GAM) and from the CLI, you can create a 'delegation' which would allow you to open another user's gmail. This depends on a lot on where you are from. If it is legal for your employer to view your search history, Google may hand out this information. In Europe, it is illegal to covertly monitor or monitor it outside of your corporate network or on personal devices. Google will comply with requests based on the legality of them. I am sure Google will not hand out any information without a warrant and even then it's a stretch. Rule of thumb should be to not use any work email accounts for personal use. Stuff like Chrome make it trivial to use multiple Google accounts and you should be using this feature. More on reddit.com

EDIT: I ended up having Google delete the account. Took about five days but was pretty seamless. Once complete I was able to sign back up.
Yes, I will reach out to Google Workspace support, but was curious if anyone ever encountered this.
I signed up for Google Workspace using an Outlook.com email account. When logging into Google Workspace I go through the login prompts but keep getting a message about signing in with an Admin account. See attached screenshot.
I have received an email saying to activate the account and am also now receiving Admin Best Practice emails, so I believe the Admin account has been setup somewhat. When logging in I do NOT get any kind of activation prompt, this is as far as I can get.
Tried different browsers, Incognito Mode, etc.
Any ideas here?

Dear community,
I've signed up to google workspace for a non profit organization, which has been validated by google last week. I've received an email inviting me to connect to admin.google.com but every time I enter my organization email and password, it redirect me to the same login page, even if I'm already logged in with the same account in chrome.
I've tried everything on google help page regarding that issue but nothing works. And I can't contact support because the first step to reach it is to sign up to admin console... Except the last option which requires to have a X account, which I don't (and don't want).
Any help is welcome

Hi all,
I manage several GSuite domains for some small businesses. As part of handling their computing and IT needs, I very frequently need to setup PCs and troubleshoot issues. When I commission a new PC for someone, they want the thing 100% ready to go, and I generally need to log into their Google Account for them.
Is there a way to skip the Google verification steps where it sends a text to the user's phone or has them enter digits? This requires them to be present when I'm doing this and they usually aren't. I realize this is a security feature but at a minimum, it should allow an Admin to bypass this by logging in as an Admin or by disabling verification temporarily while "maintenance" is going on.
This isn't 2FA.
Any ideas?

The initial account verification is a must I should say. It helps to build associations like device-geo location-network and the rest of the specifics the algorithm may use in the future to detect unusual logins, however, the main purpose it serves is to verify the humanity of the user (consumer services typically require an email address where a code is received) It is possible for the Admin to do the initial verification on behalf of the users and many admins prefer to go this way, however, if not necessary I'd advise them to leave the users do the verification themselves because it goes with the ToS intro/acceptance which I find more important. To work around the limited times a verification can be done using just one phone number an admin can switch from receiving the codes as texts to receiving them as calls. Last time I had to do that it allowed up to 5 codes to be received before the receiving method should be switched to the other. Please note that the backup codes as well as the option to disable the login challenge are irrelevant to the initial verification.
