(Galacticraft, 1.12.2) can I travel to other planets without use of the rocket in creative mode?

Title explains it a bit, but I could flesh out what I mean here too.
I already know that you can’t build or fly into orbit, with or without creative mode. But I’m wondering if maybe there is a command or alternate method outside of using the rocket?
I’m asking because I’m messing around in a creative world and I’m trying to set it up so I can very easily and quickly travel to other planets with warp pads (courtesy of KAGIC) however when trying to leave Io (Jupiter’s moon, not sure if it’s base GC or an addon) I managed to corrupt the rocket entity, causing the game to crash after being loaded into the world for a few seconds (effectively fucking it up)
My going theory is that the game lagged a bit too hard, saved at the same time, corrupting the entity used to travel between the dimensions. (I don’t know what causes a corrupted entity, but I’ve tried what I could to remove it with no luck.)
So, I ask, is there any way possible to travel to other planets without using the rocket in creative mode? (I would absolutely love it for my world to be able to travel between planets easily so I can colonize them)
My son just called me and said that he traveled to the asteroid belt and is now stuck there. He does not know how to get back to his map and he is upset that he lost everything he created. I am only slightly familiar with Minecraft and I have zero experience with the galacticraft mod. does anyone know a quick way for him to be transported back to his map? He said that he tried killing his character but he did not go back to his map when that happened.
Can he turn on creative mod and fly back to hi map? or is there a menu where he can select where he wants to be?

You should try Feedthebeast for this specific question. They are a subreddit that specifically deals with mods and probably could give you a better answer than me or most people here.
He can get back via creative by spawning in a creative rocket and a launchpad, then taking that back to the map select point and landing back on earth.
