So, when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro, the battery life is pretty good for most daily activities. According to what the manufacturer says, if you're using Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), you get about 5 hours of continuous playback. Turn off the ANC, and you can stretch that to around 8 hours. Plus, with the charging case, you get an extra boost—up to 18 more hours with ANC and up to 21 hours without. Overall, this means you're looking at a total of roughly 23 hours with ANC on, and up to 29 hours with it off from case and buds combined. Our research shows that these estimates are generally spot-on, but keep in mind that battery life can fluctuate. It all depends on how loud you listen to your music and which features you're using. People who often use extras like Ambient Sound or have long phone calls might find the battery drains a bit quicker. Conversely, if you just need them for your commute or a gym session, you’re probably not going to run into any charging issues. For those who are always out and about, having the charging case close by is super handy. Just plop the buds back in during short breaks to keep them juiced up and ready to go whenever you need them. r/galaxybuds on Reddit: Buds 2 Pro battery life is disappointing
September 8, 2022 -

Pretty annoying every single reviewer claims 5 hours with ANC, they're just basically quoting Samsung and that's it.

Here's my experience with them. I left my home to go to the gym at 17:40, that's when I started streaming music from Spotify with ANC ON.

Left the gym at 21, at 21:03 they died.

So from 17:40 to 21:00 that's 3:20. Paired to my Galaxy S10+ so obviously using SSC codec which should, in theory, be more efficient as well.

3 hours and 20 is WELL below the advertised durability. Pretty disappointed because otherwise I absolutely love them but this, theoretically worse than most high end buds.

How do the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro compare to the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro?

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are the second generation of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, released in 2021. The basic feature set of each model is very similar: both have good audio and ANC, plus five hours of battery life between charges (with ANC on). The Buds 2 Pro offer a couple of new features when paired with a Samsung phone or tablet, including 24-bit audio playback for supported media and an optional mode that tracks the position of your head to make it sound like audio is emanating from the device you have the buds connected to. They're also smaller and sleeker than the original Galaxy Buds Pro. If you already have those older Galaxy Buds Pro, though, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro won't be much of an upgrade for you—the new features are very niche.

Setting aside the price, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are Samsung’s best earbuds yet. A comfortable design, compact size, and excellent audio make these a winner, and the middling battery life is the only real letdown. r/galaxybuds on Reddit: Buds 2 Pro battery life
September 5, 2023 -

Hi, I've been a Buds 2 user for the last 1.5 years.

Yesterday, I upgraded to Buds 2 Pro, brand new, and tried them right away after charging them.

I've got a little bit more than 4 hours of use in a single charge. I used ANC most of the time, voice detection, touch controls, tap to control volume, and listened to a fairly high volume.

I tried them today, and they turned off a little bit earlier, but it's a minimal difference so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I know this might be an idiotic question, but aren't these buds supposed to last almost 5 hours on a single charge?

My +1 year old Buds 2 last longer than my new buds in a single charge with a similar usage psttern, so I don't know if it's possible that my Buds 2 Pro are faulty.
