I've had the pros for a couple of month now and am a big fan, but Samsung doesn't make it easy to find the many many customisations available, especially to Samsung phone/tablet owners, that make the pros that much better.
Here are some less well known more customisations you can make to your buds pro (tip of the hat to AXqVNgKXzccView: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXqVNgKXzcc):

Replace the rather ordinary stock tips with 3rd party replacements. You'll find this will probably solve a lot of the comfort and seal issues that many users experience. And a better seal means better bass and ANC. I use Diofit silicone tips, but Crystal silicone and Comply foam are also popular

If you have a Samsung phone/tablet, use the "adapt sound" feature to dramatically improve sound quality, especially if you are over 40. Access it via Settings>Sound quality and effects>adapt sound. This will basically run you through an audiogram test and adapt the sound accordingly. I found the improvement in sound to be breath-taking, especially compared to the wimpy 6 pre-set EQ settings in Samsung Wear app.

Talking of equalisation, if you have a Samsung phone/tablet, use the equalisiation settings there to get access to a proper 9-band equaliser. Access it via Settings>Sound quality>Equaliser, and set the equaliser in the Samsung Wear app to "normal"

Don't want to use Bixby as your voice assist in the pods? Go to Settings>apps and remove Bixby Voice as the default . Go to Samsung Wear and set 'Touch and hold" to "Voice Command". The next time you use voice command your phone/tablet will ask if you want to use Google. Once set, you can just say "Hey Google" to access the assistant

Want touch command to increase/decrease volume in addition to other commands, say activate ANC/ambient? In Samsung Wear, go to Earbud settings>Labs and activate "Double tap earbud edge". Note the "edge tap" uses the buds' accelerometer rather than the touch pad, so try tapping your earlobe rather than the buds themselves
Happy listening!
Firstly, they work out of the box. Secondly, both earbuds default to only short press for pause/play and long press to change between ANC and ambient mode. There’s also a bit of latency when watching Youtube BUT this is what you need to do;
Borrow an android device from anyone and download the Galaxy Wearable app and the Buds2 plugin, update the buds (this can be done in less than 5 minutes). Set the touch control for both earbuds (mine is noise control on left bud long press and smart assistant;Siri on the right buds. Also turn on the double tap and triple tap to control the tracks). Go to labs and turn on volume control if you want them. The feature works by tapping the edge of the buds, but here’s a tip; tap your ears and they work too. You can also set noise control to work with one earbuds. This feature works similar to the Airpods Pro, when you take off one earbud, the other one will change to to whatever mode you set them to. What I do is to have the one earbud on ambient mode whenever I take off the other one. And turn off the seamless device switching (i forgot the actual name of this settings, but it’s for switching the buds between Samsung devices and you don’t need that and also I read somewhere it helps with latency. I have no more latency issue but I really cant tell if it’s because I turned the setting off or simply due to the update).
Now the review; they sound better than the Airpods Pro, they cancel as much noise as the Airpods Pro, their ambient mode is really good and does not sound robotic, you can hear the outside world really well but your own voice will still be muffled, I think the Airpods Pro has an extra mic to solve this.
TL:DR, update the buds and save some money. Unless you really need spatial audio or seamless switching between Apple devices (which don’t even work well for me, I have a Mac, and iPhone, an iPad and an Apple Watch). Btw it’s really easy to use Buds 2 with multiple devices, you don’t need to disconnect them from your current device, just hit connect on your other device and they will disconnect automatically.

I tried these on a suggestion from this subreddit, and the ones with the flanges (the "Silicone Black" named version) really make a HUGE difference in how the Buds 2 stay in my ears. With the original ear tips, large size, they stayed in OK if I made sure my ears were very clean first, but even then, any movement of my jaw/mouth would cause them to move outward slightly and become looser.
With these flanged ones, that issue is about 95% solved and they virtually do not budge even if I do those kinds of movements. Highly recommended to try if you're having this issue, especially for the price. I tried the mixed size ones and the large works for me.
