These are, by far, my favorite buds. But, they are getting old. I might just buy another pair of them, but it would be great if they came out with an updated version. I can't find any rumors/leaks about a 2nd version coming out....should I just accept that they are dead?
If so, what is a more recently released option that is similar?

Seems like the Buds Live haven't been updated in a long time. Traditional earbuds don't really work for me so I'm looking for something with an open design and the Buds Live seem perfect for me, but they're already discontinued and out of stock where I live. Should I be hopeful that an updated version is on the way, or are there other alternatives?
Probably not. Look into Sony Linkbuds and even AirPods 3rd gen.
I am in the same boat as you, whenever I am using sealed earbuds, I get bad occlusion.. I can hear my own heartbeat and worse, when i walk, that footsteps get amplified. When I tried the buds live for the first time, it was like the best earbuds ever.
Few weeks ago, I saw Buds 2 Pro on sale, and I heard they have ventilation system to deal with the ear occlusion. So I decided to buy it, and it was actually amazing. No occlusion, and the ANC is better. Was blown away as this is the first time sealed earbuds works for me.
I love the Buds Live design and I was hopong for 2nd gen, but after seeing this, looks like Samsung is ditching the unique beans design.
Hey peeps,
Anyone know of any news regarding the potential release of a new galaxy buds live (beans) 2? Never enjoyed and found an in ear earphone to be comfortable like the galaxy bud plus and pro. The beans are perfect at avoiding this but the ANC I heard isn't very good. Hopefully the updated version deals with this.
it likely won't have batter anc, the design is open ear and they're supposed to let noise in, the anc is only to block out some of the lower noises like an idle car or a generator, it's never going to work as well as in ear designs that create a seal
I know this is an old post but I purchased them over a month ago. And I love them. The anc isn't as good as my friends proper over the ear headphones but it definitely improves sound quality with them having anc on. Less outside noise. (Obviously I guess)
They haven't been updated in a long time and Idk they might be this year. I got the samsung galaxy buds2 Pro and they were a better upgrade from buds pro. They did have the same problem where overtime my ears would get irritated and push them out of my ears. I only use for hours at a time and even workout with them. I wound up loosing my buds2 pro and now have to use buds pro again. I want to try out live because they're over the ears instead of inside.
