So, they look good, the features look good, the reviews are good, the price seems good. But, for android I need the wearable app. ... or do I?

Is it possible to use the buds live without the app or, as an alternative, can I disable all permissions on the app including disabling internet access? (I use netguard, a sort of VPN on the phone which blocks internet to apps of my choosing)

I see some people say you use the app with all permissions for initial configuration then decline the permissions. But does it still need internet? Could I even delete the app after initial config?
