Ive been looking for a good pair of truly wireless earbuds for a while now, and the buds plus seem good. Ive found a deal for 130cad for a new pair. Is it worth it? Still good in 2022?

After retiring my four-year-old Galaxy Buds Plus, I want to share my experience. The Buds Plus were the best earbuds by far due to the customizable earbud wings, mainly what the Buds 2 Pro lacks, but since I have elephant ears, the Buds 2 Pro fit nicely.

There was a noticeable difference in Audio and Bass moving from the Plus to the Pro 2. The Buds 2 Pro offered a more clear and bassy tune to it. In terms of battery life, both were good, but the Pro’s 2 outperforms the Plus (Obviously since they were released back in 2020). Fun fact, I used the Buds 2 Pro when running the LA Marathon, but wow, the battery life was amazing, survived my slow marathon time of 6 hours! In terms of design, the Plus was convenient due to its small simple glossy design, whereas in comparison to the Buds 2 Pro, they have a more premium matte finish, not that it matters so much since both are being kept well maintained in a case. One of the things I miss it the wing tip design that was held firm in your ears. One of the things I truly enjoyed about the Buds 2 Pro is the implication of air vents. Ever since I got them, I haven't had any sort of fatigue where my ears would pop and cause headaches, the feeling you get when taking a 3 hours flight. Aside from that, the feature of Noise Cancellation is convenient when not want to hear the sound of wings inside a vehicle or a plane.

With the recent leaks of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Pro, it saddens me how Samsung has adopted the traditional earbud design like Nothing and Apple, preventing them from standing out like Bud's predecessors, except the buds live (they are great too but not my favorite bud design). But sadly, in the tech industry, big tech companies follow the norm designs that Apple makes.
