r/galaxybuds - Buds+ lacking bass compared to og buds
December 17, 2016 -

Atm im having both my og buds and buds+. When im teesting these buds side by side one at a time and 1 more test with dual audio.

The og buds have both higher volume and more thumping bass. Which is weird for me. Since afaik when i tested the buds on samsung experience store. The buds+ kills my og buds on bass. But on my unit the buds+ bass sound tiny and have less thump & rumbling (it does still have bass tho but not as strong as my og buds). Is my unit defective and should i try claiming my warranty?

Both using normal equalizer on soundassistant and dynamic on wearable Both also using medium size eartips and wing which fit the best.

r/galaxybuds on Reddit: How do I improve the bass on my galaxy buds+?
June 9, 2020 -

So I’ve recently bought the buds+ and I love the sound quality, though I miss some power in the bass. I also listen a lot to techno/EDM which uses a lot of bass mostly.

Does anyone have some good custom equalizer settings for the buds+ to improve the bass? Both the equalizer in the iOS app and Spotify. I feel like the regular “bass boost” still is pretty soft. But when manually cranking up frequencies it begins to sound terrible. So maybe someone with more knowledge then me can help me out?

Thanks in advence

r/galaxybuds - The bass in the galaxy buds is great
April 15, 2016 -

I've been reading about the galaxy buds and have seen that people are complaining about the bass in the buds. I recieved my buds today and to be honest I think the bass is really good. I even think that the bass is better in these than the normal S10 cable earphones.

At first i thought the settings was on bass boosted, but it's on dynamic.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus review: better sound, even better stamina | The Verge
Nothing gets too pushed too much, and the treble and mids have a nice balance. For codecs, Samsung supports SBC, AAC, and its own Scalable codec, which can transmit at higher bitrates if you’re also using a Samsung phone. ... Bass from the Galaxy Buds Plus lacks the same level of oomph that you get with the latest Jabras, but it’s still enough to make for a pleasing low end.

Okay. For the Buds 3 Pro. I dont know if samsung knows what the heck is going on but ever since the recent update. The sound fit is now just broken. There is just no bass at all when you have a good fit. At this point, you are forced to hang your buds a little off your ear for the bass to come back basically forcing a "poor fit" just for the bass to come back. This should not be happening whatsoever and i should not be forced to do that little workaround just for it to work.

Edit: to add more to this. The bass even goes away when you switch audio modes like ambient noise and then back to off. Or when you do the fit test and have a good fit. In fact the theres bass present when you use other modes besides "off". At that point you are kinda forced to use to other modes just to have bass. And no changing the eq does not do anything as i said sub bass is just gone unless you have a poor fit which is just redundant.

If you dont know what i mean. Someone reported this https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxybuds/comments/1g4ftg8/buds3_pro_audio_quality_degraded_after_updates/

Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus review: Comfy and compact - SoundGuys
Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus gently amplifies bass frequencies, which is great for listeners who enjoy popular genres of music like pop, hip-hop, and so on as it adds a greater sense of impact with every kick drum. Highs and mids hardly receive any amplification, which means instrumentally busy songs may seem like they’re lacking detail. That’s not ... If you only have $100 to spend, this is still a great pair of earbuds.
