Is it worth it to buy galaxy buds pro to use it with my iphone 12 as i think ios does not have companion app support for it??

Probably not. Samsung is distancing themselves from the Apple ecosystem as they're tired of the ecosystem abuse Apple gets away with. I'd look at something like Sennheiser, Sony or Jabra.

It works on an iPhone however you cannot modify the touch controls. By default if you tap once you can play/pause double tap to go to the next track then triple tap to go back. If you tap and hold either bud, it will switch from ANC to Ambient mode or vice versa. You cannot access the EQ presets to and some features like low latency mode for gaming and the 360 audio which is like the spatial audio feature of airpods pro. However, the buds are very much a steal for 96$ because it sounds really really good and has an arguably better sound than the airpods pro.

July 12, 2024 - They’ll work, but you can’t upgrade their firmware, not every feature is unlocked, and you can’t change their settings. The AI features are weird to lock down to specific phones, I think the AirPods Pro 2 feature that’s similar is tied to the firmware and not having the latest iPhone. Samsung’s Galaxy Buds app is available for Windows.

Samsung Galaxy Buds App - App Store
I was sooo excited when I purchased the original galaxy buds from Samsung since I had done all my research and compared them to a few others including Apple AirPods, and Samsung ultimately won for its look and comfort for me and also it stated on the website that they were compatible to iOS came to find out they are not!!! I called Samsung to complain but of course nothing could be done I accepted the fact that I can only use my buds as Bluetooth with my iPhone 11 max pro but was told to periodically check for an app in the App Store since it might become available soon.

Can I use the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds with an iPhone or an iPad?
April 10, 2023 - Similar to how Apple's AirPods work with Android devices with limited features, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro also scale down considerably in terms of features while paired with an iPhone. So don't get in expecting all the rich features that you'd get while using the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with, say, a Samsung Galaxy S23 or a Galaxy Fold 4.

r/galaxybuds on Reddit: Any way to control Galaxy Buds3 Pro on iPhone?
November 16, 2024 -
Hey everyone,
I recently got the Galaxy Buds3 Pro and I’m using them with my iPhone. While the buds work fine for basic listening, I noticed that the Galaxy Buds app on iOS only supports older models like the Galaxy Buds Live and Buds+. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to recognize the Buds3 Pro.
Does anyone know if there’s an app available on iPhone to control the Buds3 Pro or if there’s any update coming that will allow these earbuds to pair with the Galaxy Buds app? Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

The short answer is no. If you have an android device, phone or tablet you could use the wearable app, and set it up, then those settings are in the buds.

No, iOS app support ended with the Live's/Beans. I have a Flip 4 phone & Tab S10u however, I used my B3P with my 2nd Gen iPad Pro this week watching a film (during an unexpected overnight hospital stay). I was able to see the actual buds battery level, even via the battery widget, the sound was absolutely amazing really anazing, voice detect worked, the voice & earbud controls worked & I was able to switch from iPad to andriod phone & vice versa with complete ease - no re-pairing necessary. I specifically bought the Beans to use with my iPad & MBP. However, after my B3P experience with my iPad, I won't need them. I took a screenshot of the battery widget. See my next post (above)
