Review: Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro vs. Galaxy Buds Pro
Buds 2 Pro vs Buds 3 Pro comparison, and what I'd like to see with the next software update.
Buds 2 vs Buds Pro???
Are buds 2 pro worth it over buds 2?
Are the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and Buds Pro waterproof?
Although these earbuds have an IPX7 rating, they are not waterproof. Leaving them under water for more than 30 minutes, or submerging them deeper than one meter will break the earbuds. They can survive a dip in the pool if you fish them out in time. We don’t recommend doing this, though.
Are the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro good for calls?
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro has the best overall microphone quality out of all of Samsung’s earbuds line. This is especially true in windy conditions, where the buds quell intrusive environmental sounds far more than their more pedestrian kin.
Do the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro work on iPhone?
You can connect the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro to an iPhone, but there is no iOS app for the Buds 2 Pro. Instead, you’re left with the default settings and no way to select EQ presets or locate your buds.

I've had the opportunity to use the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for the past 10 months, and I've owned the Galaxy Buds Pro for 3 years. Here's my detailed comparison based on my personal experience with both models.
Fit and Comfort Galaxy Buds 2 Pro:
The fit of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is exceptionally snug in my ears.
They are so comfortable that I sometimes forget they are even there, making them ideal for extended wear.
Galaxy Buds Pro:
The ear fit of the Galaxy Buds Pro is not as good for my ears. They tend to feel less secure and comfortable compared to the Buds 2 Pro.
Verdict: The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro win hands down in terms of fit and comfort.
Sound Quality
Galaxy Buds 2 Pro:
Although they support 24-bit audio codec, the sound quality is slightly less impressive than the Buds Pro.
Galaxy Buds Pro:
Surprisingly, despite the lack of 24-bit audio support, the Galaxy Buds Pro deliver better sound quality. The mids are particularly clear and well-defined, which makes a noticeable difference in the overall listening experience.
Verdict: The Galaxy Buds Pro take the lead in sound quality.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
Galaxy Buds 2 Pro:
Initially, the ANC on the Buds 2 Pro was satisfactory, but after the latest update, it became worse. Instead of reducing ambient noise, it now seems to boost it, which is quite frustrating.
Galaxy Buds Pro:
The ANC on the Galaxy Buds Pro remains effective and consistent. It cuts noise better than the Buds 2 Pro, even after years of use.
Verdict: The Galaxy Buds Pro outperform the Buds 2 Pro in ANC performance.
Battery Life
Galaxy Buds 2 Pro:
The battery life is decent and generally meets my needs.
Galaxy Buds Pro:
The battery life isn't as impressive, but since I don't use them for extended periods continuously, it hasn't been a major issue for me.
Verdict: While the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro have a slight edge in battery life, it's not a significant deciding factor in my usage.
Conclusion If I had to choose one, the Galaxy Buds Pro are definitely the better option overall. Despite their less comfortable fit and shorter battery life, their superior sound quality and more effective ANC make them a better choice for me. The only drawback is the fit, which might not be as snug for everyone.
