Galaxy Watch 3 41mm much, much thicker than advertised
I think the issue is that they typically advertise the thickness based on the case thickness, not including the bump for the hr and other sensors. The S2 has its sensors flush with the back. So their cases are the same, but the newer watches, my Active 2 included, are technically thicker than advertised. But the sensor bump typically is pressed into your wrist so won't really add to how thick the watch is when you wear it. More on reddit.com

Just got the Galaxy Watch 3 41mm and it's far thicker than advertised. By my measurements instead of 11.3mm thick, it's more like 13.5mm thick. It was specifically bought because its specs showed it being similar thickness to the Gear S2, and now I feel like I've been lied to. When you put the two next to each other on the table the Gear S2 is much thinner - yet the thickness of the Gear S2 is supposed to be 11.4mm.
What have I missed??

I think the issue is that they typically advertise the thickness based on the case thickness, not including the bump for the hr and other sensors. The S2 has its sensors flush with the back. But the sensor bump typically is pressed into your wrist so won't really add to how thick the watch is when you wear it.
