When Samsung first announced the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, I honestly thought it looked kinda… ugly. I’ve always loved the look of the Watch 6 Classic, and my Watch 4 Classic still had my favorite design.
But my poor 4 Classic has been lagging badly, so after a long debate with myself, I finally pulled the trigger on the 8 Classic.
And wow—seeing it in person completely changed my mind. It feels so premium and looks way more high-end than I expected. The stock strap even mimics leather texture, and it’s surprisingly nice.
Now I actually think it’s a great-looking watch. Anyone else went from “meh” to “wow” after seeing the 8 Classic in person?
I watched a lot of previews and first impressions on YouTube and people are talking about a lot of things. A lot of people don't like the new "squircle" design (I'm not a fan either) and some people like it a lot, or say that in person it doesn't look that bad. So I wanted to give it a shot and upgrade from my Watch6 Classic. But seeing that big bezel in videos didn't look OK. So I checked sheets and Watch8 Classic has smaller display and smaller resolution. Basically it's same like on the smallest, cheapest Watch8. This feels like a really big downgrade, since until now everyone is going opposite direction - smaller bezels to make display better and bigger. Why is nobody on YouTube at least mentioning this?
