February 17, 2024 - First impressions, nice packaging similar to the Galaxy Watch 3 and 4, but the pro has a black box which makes gives it a bit more of a premium look compared to the white box. I love the D-Buckle strap, very easy to adjust and the magnet seems quite strong. When I tried to turn power it on, I pressed and held the bottom button (as that is how it was on the Galaxy Watch 3) and nothing happened, so I assumed the battery was dead. Threw it on the charger and it said 89% charged. I then found out that on the Galaxy Watch 5, it is the top button that you press and hold to power on the watch.

tl;dr OP bought a watch while he really didn't need nor want one, everyone else shows their good justification for getting the watch, OP calls it pointless, because it's personal preference. If you buy gadgets at a whim and then can't justify getting them, that's on you.

Hello all, I just recently switched from Apple to Android and I am looking for a watch that works with my Pixel. I don't love the look of the Pixel Watch.
I think the Samsung line-up look the best, and in my brief research the Watch 5 Pro seems to have been a great device. I have found it on eBay for around $120, or I could trade the Apple Watch in with Samsung and get the new Ultra for $350ish.
Is the Ultra worth three times the price of the "refurbished" 5 Pro?

Just switched back to Android and almost bought a used 5 pro, but ended up going with a new watch 7 44mm. The battery life is more than enough for me, and it's so much sleeker and lighter.
