Yeah, my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro lasted much longer than this - sometimes like 4 days on a charge, and consistently at least 3 days. Hopefully it improves over time, but I'm only getting a little more than 2 days out a charge thus far on my Galaxy Watch Ultra. Answer from mckaysmith on reddit.com

Well, I got the watch Saturday and have been using it since then. I understand it's still in battery training mode, trying to get patterns and such but it's been quite bad so far. Much worse than the 6 classic and even 5 pro... Less than 15 hours with 85% battery is bad bad...I went for a run this morning, started with about 75% and ended at 9%. Using LTE for Spotify and Bluetooth connected to my buds 3 pros. I know lte will increase drain but my run was just short of 2 hours, 13.1 miles, I had expected it to hold up better. If things don't get better I may have to return it for a Garmin. I need to be able to have it last for an entire marathon and as of now, I don't see that happening.

I seem to only be getting 16-18h of battery life, much shorter than advertised. The battery info shows only ~45% of the battery drained through the listed apps.

Anyone else experiencing this?

UPDATE: Samsung support has been less than helpful (I was offered $27 to not return the watch), so it looks like I'll be returning it since there is no support outside of return and repurchase if you don't have the warranty, even on a 2 day old watch. Waiting a couple weeks for a refund and then a week for the new watch that will also have no support isn't an acceptable option for a $650 watch

After 2 full charges I've made it around 2 days to 1 day and 18 hours. AOD is off, heart rate is continuous no LTE, all sleep tracking enabled maybe a walk per charge. Nothing else really as my brightness is auto and tilt to wake is on. Not sure how others got 3 days.

I was set on getting the OnePlus Watch 3 because I heard its battery life is amazing, but then I watched a review of the Galaxy Watch Ultra, and it blew me away!

I've never owned a smartwatch of this caliber, and I'm super excited because it's my birthday soon, and I want to treat myself to something special. I'm a huge tech fan, and I absolutely love the design of this watch.

To be honest, I'm not that fussed about always-on display, LTE, or super detailed health and fitness tracking. I feel like turning those features off could save some battery. That said, I'm really into everything else-the design, the watch faces, replying to notifications with Al, the gesture controls, and the Wear OS apps.

I don't mind charging it every other night, maybe even every night if I have to, but two nights is totally fine for me. So, from your real-world experience, is the battery life a headache, or overall experience so good that the battery doesn't bother you much?

Idk what's going on, but my battery life has gone from 3 to 4 days, to just barely over a day. Any suggestions would be great.

Ive cleared my cache, have google assistant disabled, auto workout disabled, etc. If I had to disable a bunch of stuff just to get two days of battery life, I would've waited for the watch 8 or wstch 8 classic.

My Galaxy Watch Ultra's battery life is killing me!!! I saw many reviews online that said it could last three to four days! I'm lucky to get two days out of it, and I don't even use it for fitness tracking, no step syncing, no AOD. Is anyone else having this problem? I just got this watch five days ago (replacing my Apple Watch Ultra), and I already regret it.

Please read it, trust me β™‘ I had a very problem with the battery life that was bad since the first day. A message for people who have the same problem right now:

My first Watch Ultra had even after 13 days only 2 days 4 hours of running time. And that although I have switched everything off. wifi lte gps stress/heart rate sensors, sleep measurement, just everything, aod, moving gestures, even vibration or synchronization of steps.. then I dont wanted to wait anymore at the last 13th day where there was no right of return after the 14. Day ... I gave the watch ultra back and took a new one. On this new one, there is sleep measurement active, and many other functions still active. Now it have only after 2-3 days a battery life of 3 days and 13 hours, with many functions on active even the first watch face for the ultra modell with compass, still there. I dont need to use other watch face that drains less battery like on the old one, it's still strong and over 3d 13h . there is some watch ultra models that was produced just so stupid that I am grateful, thank God, I took a new one for 0 euros and changed the old one for it. When you see after a week that it's still under 2 days or only a little bit over 2 days, even days after you deactivate everything. Change it, or use guarantee, cause when it's a battery problem or something wrong with the watch system, they fix it 100%. I dont trust people anymore who said, wait 2-3 weeks, it will be better. Even at the first days, it needs to be 3days+ 100% when you deactivate aod lte gps wifi cause it's connected to the phone. No way that it's under 3 days. I'm so happy I didn't hear what others said, and changed it. It's nearly the double amount of days even at the first 2-3 days.

I said there is a very bad battery in it, and that I would know much about samsung, they gave me a new one in 5 minutes for free, after I gave them my other watch ultra with the battery drain problems back. Guarantee would be a nice plan b when anyone here have it longer then the returning days allowed to give it bad or change it.

I have the qled, washing machine, s23 ultra, watch ultra, galaxy buds 3 pro, first time with the watch ultra, that they gave me something with a low battery life. I would react quick when I dont trust the battery life, instead of waiting weeks and loosing the time to give it back or to change it, at a good seller. Like in Germany Saturn/Media Markt, they take it in 14 days when it is a problem of the watch and not your fault. I thank god, I took a new one. Now I'm happy with it. Maybe some people will say: "You should wait longer" but whatever I'm happy now, and I want to share my experience with every new owner here who have similar problems with the watch ultra model.

I dont know why, but I have the feeling like there are many users who get a bad battery from beginning or system in it with high battery drain problems, even with all settings and sensors off. And even with a new watch which was never in use before. Please take my experience with you β™‘ it could help. Have a great day everyone β€οΈπŸ’―. Now lets wait and hope that the s25 will be something good ☺️☺️ i want it so much The 2 pictures, are screenshots from both. With a big difference on it. :)

Decided to upgrade from the OG Galaxy watch to the Ultra. Been using the OG from 2018 and it has never lasted me less than 4 days of charge. 2 and Β½ with heavy usage (AOD on and workout tracking all days for an hour or so) The Ultra on the other hand is on charging for the third time in the 3 days that i have used it for. Now I know it will last way longer with all the necessary features turned off but then it will be the same like wearing the OG Galaxy watch but Uglier.

Aren't technology advancements supposed to bring a longer battery to the table?

Hey, I finally got my Galaxy Watch Ultra on Saturday, and it had 80% battery.

Yesterday morning, I charged it to 100%. At 9 am. I worked out for almost 2 hours yesterday and kept my Samsung Health on, which measured my heart rate every 10 minutes. I also played around with some features on the watch.

Today, after 26 hours, I still have 52% battery left. I'm pretty happy with the battery life so far. I wore it on my wrist last night, but I turned on sleep mode and turned off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. I hope this update helps you make a decision about the watch.

Samsung said at their Unpacked event that we should get around 48 hours of battery life with normal usage.

Had my Ultra 5 days now... I'm getting around 30-32 hours per charge. I've left it (as far as possible) default. Its not unusable at that, but I was expecting more.

I wonder if its because of the incessant "account action required" notification because of the google 1 account I've linked it to?

Its a nice piece of hardware to look at. The things it can measure seem useful, and I'm hopeful software improvements might eek out a bit more life and features over the next year or so.

Anyone else beginning to regret the expense?

UPDATE: I reset the watch to factory and turned off AOD, wireless and haven't installed any additional apps to the watch itself... ITS LIKE A DIFFERENT DEVICE! Expecting to get 3 full days from a full charge now (already into the second day and I'll charge before sleeping tomorrow).

November 6, 2024 - Apps How many apps have you installed since you unboxed your Galaxy Watch Ultra? Was it just a couple or more than a baker’s dozen? Apps running in the background, apps used during the day, music playing while you run your 5K at 5:00 a.m., yes, it all adds up and then subtracts from battery life.
