Do I need the Galaxy Wearable app to connect my watch to my phone?
Yes. The Galaxy Wearable app must be installed before pairing your watch to your phone.
Where do I view the health data garnered by my Samsung Galaxy Watch?
You won’t find any health for fitness metrics in the Galaxy Wearable app, although you can adjust Samsung Health settings. For the full readout of your fitness and health data, you’ll need to open Samsung Health.
I use a Galaxy 6 generally during the day, and a Galaxy 4 either at night and/or whilst charging my Galaxy 6.
I only use 1 mobile to Sync, (S24) however both watches show a different style page. The style on the Galaxy 4 changed a few weeks ago. Both watches have their latest software , and the same for my mobile.. They definitely used to be the same.
I just got a Galaxy Watch 4 and it connects and works with the Galaxy Wearable app but the Wear OS app just hangs on "Tap your watch name when it appears..." screen. I've tried every troubleshooting step I can find on the internet (short of resetting my phone, but I'd like to avoid that) and nothing has worked.
I should be able to use both apps right? Phone is a Galaxy S20+. I've reset the watch once to troubleshoot and the phone was recently reset.
Today my Samsung galaxy watch 5 pro just would not communicate with the wearable app on my S23 Ultra, the app just would not load, i tried resetting the app, uninstalling, factory resetting the watch and had no luck, I then discovered that the watch manager apps had been removed from the playstore, I also could not find my already installed manager app in my settings, I searched it through chrome and got to playstore through there to find that the app is not compatible anymore and was automatically disabled by my phone
Solution: Uninstall watch 5 manager from the playstore, reconfigure watch in wearable app and the wearable app will download all necessary files
