So they just posted on a This Just In that this deal will no longer work for the new PS5 systems and we're only to apply the discount using a separate code if the customer asks. They just love making it more and more difficult to hit their arbitrary Pro goals, don't they?
It’s possible Sony asked to be excluded from it. There have been times like for example during Target’s Buy 2 Get 1 Free promotions for games they exclude New Releases, Nintendo & Sony first party games etc.
Some companies don’t want to make it seem like their system is selling for cheaper than their set price etc, or maybe we are seeing too much of a loss with PlayStation 5 systems now because they aren’t moving as much.
Also its possible there is a price drop imminent with the PS5 Pro on the horizon and this promotion would make it so we are selling it at a bigger loss. Either way, all these promotions always have that fine print saying it can be modified or end without notice etc.
It's probably Sony being stingy asshats again, honestly.
They will come after any small discount but not fix the quality of those shitty PS5 controllers
What is GameStop’s returns policy?
Generally, you have 15 days from receiving your item to return or exchange it at GameStop. This drops to seven days for any second-hand items, or increases to 30 days for unopened PCs, laptops, monitors, software and hardware. Orders can be returned in-store for free (except orders worth $500 or more, which are final). However, returns will incur a fee of $8.99 (or $14.99 for consoles).
Can you get free shipping from GameStop?
Free shipping is only available at GameStop when you spend over $59. Orders will arrive between 1 - 3 days after dispatch. For any items below that price point, shipping costs vary depending on what you have ordered. You can see these shipping and handling fees in the cart.
What is GameStop Pro?
If you plan to shop at GameStop regularly then you should consider signing up to be a GameStop Pro member. This is GameStop’s paid rewards program, and being a member gives you a number of perks you won't get anywhere else. You’ll receive 5% across the brand's range, a $5 welcome discount as well as a new $5 coupon every month, 2% cashback on purchases, exclusive access to events and sales, free shipping on all orders worth $54 or more, and an extra 10% store credit or cash when you trade in your old games and consoles. Membership costs $25 per year, but the brand states that the rewards alone (excluding any purchase discounts) total $65 value each month.
Quick question about how this promo actually works. Is this an all the time thing or a limited deal situation? Unfortunately, I traded in my launch PS5 disk version months ago and have locked store credit now. I am debating rebuying a PS5 disk slim or the Pro. The price for the pro is outrageous for sure, but this discount would mostly cover the stand, or I could just get a used one.
Curious if the 25 dollars off will last till the pre-order period or if anyone has any insight on how it works. I see the giant exclusions apply, but I do see it applying to regular consoles.
First, is this deal still live and will it be live on PS5 Pro release date Nov. 7, 2024??
If so, can I pay off a game preorder on that same transaction and receive the $25 off credit toward the game being paid off??
On website it says purchases of $250 or more. I want to get a ps5, will the $25 off auto apply in store or do I need to order for in store pick up? Thanks!
You no longer get 5% on the rest of your items. It also doesn’t work on TCG :/ Maybe it’s unpopular, but I still think it should not mute your other PRO rewards.
Pic unrelated as usual
Hey everybody, just wondering if this deal is legit? Website promotes it, then fine print says it doesn’t include ps5 in new condition? Was going to get one when SH2 came out but if deal is good I will go ahead and get it now. Thanks!
I know some GameStop employees on this board have mentioned the pros get 25 off on 250 promo doesn't work with any other promos like buy 2 get 1 etc etc etc but today I was shocked to find out we don't even get that on top of the pro price. Essentially it's an extra 5%(10% total) off if you're at 250 exactly and then gradually decreasing until you get to 500 does which would be 5% off. I was trying
Not a rant towards GameStop employees but corporate who continues to finds new ways to scale back pro member benefits. 😞
Tried to ring up a customer for a system, didn’t get the $25 off. So me thinking maybe they just took it off systems scanned 4 controllers. Still nothing. Is this happening for anyone else? Or was there some message sent out about it on MM?
All promotions and coupons are down, a post on main menu has been made explaining it. In regards to the 2 PS5 SKUs that have been labeled as non applicable to the Spend $250 Save $25 deal, those consoles can be given the $25 discount with the code only if a customer mentions it (yes it’s scummy) as they are to be sold at full value
It’s an issue across the company no promotions are working correctly
I went to GameStop today just to play a demo of a game I wanted to buy and asked the guy there about the membership because I was curious. He told me that it gives you 5 dollars off a month, 5% off everything there, and if you buy an item over $250, you will get it for free. I was planning on buying a console at some point in the next few months and want to know if this is true. I looked it up and nothing online is me mentioning it.
