I've got the Penrose, only had it for a short while though. Previous experience of headsets: Sony Platinum on PS4, Arctis Pro + GameDAC on PS4 and finally HyperX Cloud II on PS4 and PS5. In my limited time with it, Penrose blows the competition away in terms of sound quality. I've not heard the Mobius, but in reading about the Penrose (here: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/audeze-penrose-x-and-penrose.937477/ ) it has a similar sound profile, since it's based on the Mobius. Not without its faults (clamp force, general comfort of headband, Microphone lacking in quality, some firmware issues) but if you're after a high-quality audio above all else, you won't find any other 'gamer' headset that's better. If you weren't bothered about wires, you could go even higher-end with mod mic, but I think the Penrose is the best bang-for-buck as a complete package aimed at console gamers. More on reddit.com

A bit of insight. I’m primarily a solo gamer, I play by myself a lot & the games I do play are mostly single player. I’m looking for a new headset that can help me fully immerse into the game I’m playing.
I struggle with ADHD & misophonia, I hate a lot of noise & having too many distractions while gaming, it takes away my enjoyment because I’m unable to concentrate, so noise cancelling is an absolute must, probably the most important feature I’m looking for.
Comfort. I’m so tired of gaming headsets hurting my ears & head after wearing them for long periods of time. I need something light with a ‘premium’ feel, almost like I’m not wearing it I guess? I don’t want my ears sweating & hurting after two hours of gaming.
I’m willing to spend between £100-£200 ($135-$250), probably even more if it means I’ll get absolutely everything I’m looking for. I figure if I’m going to invest in a new headset I want it to be solid & last me a good few years, so with all that being said, what headset would you recommend? Any help would be appreciated!

Wouldnt suggest looking for the best kind cuz most are just an overkill, no one apart from actual competitive gamers needs all that. Look at the other major features and see if they fit your reqs like get a 2.4hz dongle version rather than just bluetooth to skip that delay thing, the mic should have clear voice pickup n noise suppression and battery should at least be 15-20 hours. This should cover all the basics for a good headset. Imo with these specs you could bring down your options to steel series, jlab and treblab which are all also not that expensive. For particular models tho id suggest looking at this website i found which basically just takes all the non bot reviews and ratings from reddit and then ranks products accordingly. Just cross check the specs you need with those of the models that the site shows.
