So my partner and I are building our forever home and she has agreed to dedicate a room for my gaming set up.
Iโm looking for ideas to include in the room during the build.
Anything from lighting, types of windows, flooring, electrical points. Just anything you can think of to make the gaming room just that little bit more epic.
Cheers!

Hello all, desperately needing to ask for advice for my game room. I have a double desk and had the intention of having a second screen for a guest but I decided to scrap that idea soon because I think it looks stupid. The room is a little messy, everything to the right of the couch pretend isnโt there. Iโm looking for wall decor ideas, rgb lighting for this awkward sized room. I will be centering the desk in that cubby and adding ledโs around the desk but I would like more ideas before I cable manage. Any recommendations help, thank you!
I've been working on this for over a year and I'm finally happy with the results. This is my ultimate gaming room setup for my family of 3. I spent a lot of time perfecting this setup so I'm eager to share it. I hope you all like it. Suggestions are welcome. We have two Pc's and an Xbox Series X. All networking is hardwired with a total of 6 drops in the game room plus wifi6 for our phones. 2.5G networking and 2g/2g fiber internet. My PC:

I know its a little off topic but I figure you guys would have some good ideas.
I have an empty room in my house, its fairly large. About the size of two small bedrooms in a cheap suburban house. I want to turn it into a gaming room. I want to have my roomates PC and my PC set up in there so that we can play SWTOR and do LAN gaming. I also have an Xbox, PS3, Wii, and a few other old consoles that will be in there. So basically one huge TV and then 2 desks.
I want super comfortable seating. Right now I play my PC from an overstuffed armchair with a logitech trackball on the right arm and a logitech G13 on the left arm. I have a 24" display and my roomate has an eyefinity setup with 3 19" monitors.
TL;DR I was just hoping for some ideas and cool things to put into a gaming room. Just spitballing here.
Hi guys, so my room is nearly done being renovated and I'm pretty excited, but I've never really had any chance to decorate since I've always lived in temp apartments and moving around a lot but now I'm back home and can actually make it a bit mine. So anyways, I was looking for ideas to kinda decorate my walls.
One idea I had was Displates, I got one so far (Control) but they are pretty pricy so I can't get a lot but will get a few of my top games (Control, Death Stranding, whatever else).
A 2nd idea I had was turning my Steam Trading Cards into actual physical cards, and putting them on a board onto the wall.
A third idea I had somehow make a like...tribute? thing with all the games I've finished (and actually enjoyed) that I can keep adding to.
Anyone else done anything like these or have any other cool ideas? Thanks
Hi everyone
I'm going to move to a new house in a couple of months, and incidentally I will have a full room aviable to be transfomed into a Gaming Room. Since I was so busy actually buying the house, doing the paperwork and so on, now I found myself wondering: "how do I fill it?".
The room is 16x12 feets (5x3.75 meters), and I already plan to include a couple of bookshelves, two Ikea Kallax to store boardgames (5x5 slots), a decent boardgaming table (67"x43"), an arcade cabinet (unrelated to boardaming, but cool!) and a mini fridge (cool, too!).
What else should I include? I'm really out of ideas, maybe leaving a spot on the wall for a TV to use with games which require a companion app (Mansions of Madness, SW Imperial Assault and so on), but that's it.
If you happen to have any idea, please feel free to share it below, and thanks! Happy gaming!
trying to get myself to finally set up a place where all my games will be instead of being all over the place, room used to be a bedroom so imagine your average suburban home bedroom size. is anything i should get that is a necessity or recommended?
Hey! We're moving into a new house and I finally get to have my own dedicated gaming room! I am a console gamer, not a pc gqmer. However, most sites/threads/videos are dedicated to PC battlestations. Anyone know of a good place I can go to peruse awesome looking console gaming rooms that I can draw inspiration from? Thanks!
Hello Reddit, this is my first post here. I have this big room attached to my garage that we have been using as a guest house. We very rarely have people over, but the few times we do itโs very convenient to have a room that they can stay in. My husband would also like to use it as a hobby room. A place where he can listen to music, play computer games and use his VR headset. I would like to have a small closet in this room, but itโs not a must-have.
The room is a bit awkwardly shaped at 2,4x6,6m, door exiting to the outside and small windows with radiators underneath. I donโt really know how to deal with the floor plan. I have 2 beds that I would like to keep in the room, one is 90cm and the other is 120cm. I have been thinking about a possible built in bunk bed, but I am undecided. I am also willing to let go of the smaller bed.
Aside from figuring out the floor plan, I would really like this room to be nice and cozy. I would describe my style as soft Scandinavian country, but I am definitely willing to try something bolder. The floor is concrete and is not to be covered with anything but rugs, other than that anything can be done here.
I added a photo of the room, a 3D model and a floor plan with a 0,5m grid.
Please, share your ideas on what would be cool to do with this space!
