It doesn't have to be top quality items. It just has to be CHEAP AF pricing. People are not going around town to garage/yard/estate/etc sales for retail pricing. You have to give people deals and not be greedy. Otherwise, it's going to be a long day or weekend for you. The most successful garage sales I've seen are really organized like a department store. There are tables/sections divided into kitchen, tools, electronics, clothing, etc. This is not a must, but it's a nice setup imo. Also, just be a good host. Don't be overly talkative or be a vulture hovering. Have family and friends over to make it lively and fun. Again, this is my anecdotal experience with garage sales on the West Coast. When I see a family get together for these things, I personally feel a slight "I want to buy something from this awesome family." Obviously, if it has resell potential at a good price. 😏 TLDR: Have deals, be organized, and have F&F with you to help out. More on reddit.com

I’m hosting a yard sale and it’s going to be 95% clothing. I am trying to price to sell and I do not want to haggle (I will put out a sign that says prices as marked), but some items are truly very nice items and some have tags on them/are brand new. This is just a sample of what I’m pricing at: $5 for tops, casual pants, and shoes, $10 for jeans, dresses, tops with tags, $15 for knitwear and outerwear, $2 for basics

I'm participating in my city's annual garage sale. My goal is to get rid of all of the stuff, not to make good money. But I think in 2024, anything less than 0.25$ would be a joke.
What prices would get you to stay and buy? What prices would make you walk away?
I'm selling almost everything (except baby/kid stuff).

I'd say $1 to $5 is what garage sale prices should be for things to get cleared out of there. Similar to how people load up at the dollar store or (RIP) the 99c store. A lot of resellers hit garage sales as well so it'll be a quick scoop for them.
