June 13, 2022 - Gartner® has published the 2022 Magic Quadrant™ for APM and Observability, an annual report that assesses vendors based on specific evaluation metrics, including current product capabilities, market understanding, responsiveness, and strategy.

August 15, 2024 - Gartner listed AWS and Microsoft as “challengers” in the Magic Quadrant, while Honeycomb, IBM, LogicMonitor, Logz.io and ServiceNow are listed as “visionaries.” In addition, Gartner considers BMC, Oracle and Sumo Logic to be niche players. Gartner said the observability platforms market will continue to evolve during the next several years.

August 28, 2022 - This year, AWS was recognized for the first time as a Challenger in the 2022 Gartner Application Performance Monitoring and Observability (APM) Magic Quadrant. This is the first time AWS is recognized in the report’s 12-year history.
