Hi everyone,
I’m currently in my third semester at a tier 3 college. I came across the Complete Machine Learning & Data Science Program by GeeksforGeeks and was wondering if anyone here has taken it. Is it worth the investment, especially for someone looking to build a solid foundation and land a good job right out of college?
I would appreciate some guidance on how to effectively learn programming and work on projects that would help me stand out. I know basic Python (which I learned in school but haven’t practiced much) and C programming (which I’m currently studying in college).
Also looking for advice on:

Programming skills in demand: Which programming languages and technologies should I focus on to stay relevant and competitive?

Learning platforms with certificates: Any good platforms you’d recommend for learning programming with certifications that hold weight in the industry?

Projects and resources: What types of projects should I work on to build a strong portfolio? Any resources you’d suggest for a beginner?

Networking and mentorship: How can I connect with experienced professionals or like-minded peers? I’m the first in my family pursuing something like this, so I don’t have anyone to guide me. Any tips on finding mentors or communities that could help?

1)all the languages you learn are not importantl for placements and if important then not important in your daily life job (real application problems ) 2) certificates which are hyped up or underhyped is useless in placement and no one cares you have that or not coz no have that much time to know all this shit about you ....but this will be helpful in knowing the services and used of that respective field in which u are taking certified but don't connect it to placement and all that stuff ..it's only useful for learning stuff and be relevant about ....that's it 3) discover no one can say which projects you like or not ....it's just exploring no one teaching and spoonfeeds you ...it must be understanded by you whether you choose right or wrong path 4) there are some websites which they connect with industrialist or t ech experts you can reach out with them Thanks Have a happy life stay safe and healthy

I'm a current high schooler and I've been doing competitive programming for a while so I know the basics of Python and C++ but I want to get into data analytics.
I saw that GeeksforGeeks had a data analytics as well as competitive coding courses, but I was wondering how good they were. Are they really worth $200?

I don't consider G4G trustworthy. Multiple of their Python pages show that they have poor quality control, and that their authors don't actually understand the languages they're "teaching". My breaking point where I considered them to be untrustworthy was this guide. Anyone who has written Python for any length of time can see that their deleteList implementation is completely nonsensical. I complained to them that they had misleading code and poor quality control on their site, and was told that they don't do corrections; only additions. I would not trust them. They've also apparently removed commenting on their posts, so you can't even see people's corrections now.

i know kaggle.com has some of those. cant speak for the quality of geeksforgeeks, but kaggle is well known in the data competition community. theres also the learning section where you could potentially get better at python. and im pretty sure its all free.. and theres money prizes from big companies. but theres fierce competition.
