So my Apple Stores near me seem to have no appointments available, plenty of Best Buy appointments though.
Any differences I should be concerned about? Will the quality of service be different? In the past I've gone to the Apple store for these type of things as it feels more direct.

I had the same thing when I went to deal with a white spot on my iPad Pro 10.5 last week. I called AppleCare (number is in the support app) and they had access to available time slots that I could not see trying to schedule using the support app itself.

GeekSquad CA here, has anyone gone from Genius(apple) to Geek Squad? Or from Geek Squad to Genius? What is the difference in workload if we already do GSX and why wouldn’t I transfer over to Genius for a higher pay? I appreciate all insight and thoughts!

I don't meet the qualifications (working for Apple) but I'd say you definitely get a much wider (and generally more useful) employee discount working for Best Buy, off the top of my head. Unless you're really into Apple products and the only tech you buy is from their ecosystem anyway, then BBY's employee pricing and accommodations to an extent are miles ahead. I know some employees who've bought so much from BBY that the employee discounts alone could make up for differences in pay. But for the average associate, that difference likely wouldn't be enough to justify staying at BBY.

This was my path actually lol. I went from a CA->ARA and then when I asked for a raise my manager told me “if you go to apple they’ll pay you more.” I did exactly that and was hired as a technical expert at the Genius Bar. It was a decent part time gig for college and I worked there for about a year before being hired at my current job which is a technology coordinator at a school. While I did repairs on iPhones and troubleshooting at the Genius Bar, my biggest metric was how many iPhones I sold. It was more salesy than being an ARA at Best Buy but paid more (from $16->$20 an hour). I suggest switching over and best of luck!
