First, thank you for your how-to videos, very helpful. I'm in the process of choosing vinyl siding for my home and the two choices for manufactures available locally are Georgia Pacific and Gentek. My searching online revealed problems with Genteks aluminum siding but their vinyl siding appears to be ok.

We've had Gentek, vinyl siding on our home for 11 years. It's their pebble color, so not really that dark. It's fading and chalking badly, and they won't do squat under their bogus warranty! And yes, I've washed it.

Hi, Gentek uses Royal Siding for there material which I recommend most of the bigger suppliers of Siding carry it like Convoy & Monarch, Kaycan has there own product which I find feels cheaper and is a bit brittle I'd say breaks easier.

We had Gentek vertical siding installed in September 2022. At that time we had new windows installed (different company) as well. The previous siding was horizontal and had some wavyness to it. We assumed poor installation. When they removed that they found wood sheathing as must have been vertical before that.
