Looking to write articles for some income, what are my options?
Want to actually get paid to write? Here's how.
There's a third kind of writer: those with day jobs, who write in their free time (and not as a "vanity/hobby thing").

How to make money writing?
Honestly writing is anything but quick money. If you like it I do recommend it as a way to supplement your income, but nothing about the pay day is quick.
You can always look into those massive content aggregators who same to have the quickest pay schedules for writing articles like "How to tie a shoe," or "How to change a fluorescent lightbulb," but you're probably better off getting a side job waitressing for fast cash. You'll make more hourly.
If you want to make decent money writing quickly (and by quickly I mean a paycheck in as many as 90 days and it won't be much at first but will grow after that, then write decent shorts (6,000-20,000 words) in popular genres and sell them on Amazon. Popular genres are young adult, new adult, romance, erotica, thriller, and horror.

I've seen all the TikToks that list sites that will pay you to write articles, reviews, lists. But honestly I don't know which if any to trust. I'm wondering if anyone on here has actually had experience writing something to be posted online that they have gotten paid for. Is this something someone could make good money doing? Or would the pay not be worth the time and effort?
Hello there!
I know this is the million-dollar-question and all. If I look on google for ideas I ironically just get a hundred blog sites telling me to write a blog (because they've clearly been in on the SEO game for a while and make money off of other aspiring writers!)
So, I was recently signed off work long-term with disability which in some respects means I'm no longer held back by the idea that I should just get a regular 9-5 job. On the other hand I'm no longer contributing to my family's finances at all and I feel awful for it, hence why I'm eager to find something that can make a bit of passive income on the side from at home.
I've always enjoyed writing and photography and in the past I had a few local history and walking blogs which although never got popular did get some lovely comments from the readers that I did have. I'd like to do something similar again but through working with existing websites or publications, if that's even an option anymore?
Creative work on the whole as a industry seems very closed off and 'clicky', in that it seems more like it's down to who you know rather than what you know, and I'll be honest my networking skills are dreadful. If anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful for some pointers.
