I switched over to google a few years back as I was so sick of the ridiculous prices Apple is asking for these days, and their overall product lock in strategy. I love my pixel.
Yesterday my touch screen stopped working on my pixel due to a drop. Upon calling google they have 1 authorised repairer. The reviews for this repair are appalling. There's a bunch of unofficial repairers around but they all seem to also have crazy reviews, very short warranties, or very poor quality materials.
What the heck is the best option? Honestly wondering if I just switch back to Apple.
Side note, it's kind of crazy a company can provide such minimal follow up services isn't it? Am I missing something?

I think this is the experience of any phone not an iPhone. There's no brick and mortar store for any phone except to sell you and call it a day. There used to be a Samsung store across the Apple store in a mall near me but then they sold it to Microsoft and then Microsoft pulled out and instead a lingerie store open in its place. It's horrible for the consumer because there isn't any immediate help to do a same day resolution.
