I found this thing for sale locally. Looks like a EB-0, but I'm having some trouble confirming the serial number, 898xxx. It's stamped "MADE IN U.S.A." I'm somewhat familiar with Gibson's numbering, but I'm worried that basses may have their own system. I think this is a 1974 or 1975 model; does that seem right to you guys? If it’s a suspiciously good deal I’d be a bit weary. Make sure the seller is legit first and foremost if you’re buying online.
Fake gibsons often choose mid 2000’s serial numbers to copy.
Remember if a deal is too good to be true it probably is.
But if you’re positive the seller is legit then rock on man and good job on scoring a nice deal
