This error randomly occurs on both my old B650 Aorus Elite AX Ice board and now my new X870 Aorus Elite Ice board. I never have issues booting into Windows or while using it, but when I restart I sometimes get a black screen and the 0d debug error with the DRAM light lit. I'm on the latest BIOS and I double checked that my RAM is seated properly. I have no BIOS changes other than Expo 1 being enabled. My RAM kit is F5-6000J3036F16GX2-TZ5NRW.
Has anybody experienced this or know how to possibly fix this? It's driving me insane.
EDIT: This appears to be a hardware monitoring issue. Make sure if you use L-Connect 3 that you are on at least version 2.0.26.
Asked this to bunch of other Youtubers. here's a widely spread ongoing issue with X870 and B850 mobos especially gigabyte and ASrock where on a restart pc blackscreens and gets stuck on 0d code and only way to get out of it is force shut off from the button. Also, this issue isn't 10000000% related CPU, nor GPU, nor RAM and it's somewhat software side. Only happens if you restart once pc is fully booted. If you keep restarting it in sign in screen before start up software nothing ever happens. This issue is on my Gigabyte Aorus X870 Elite Wifi7 Ice. Different RAM kits with speeds and memory has been tested and does same on all of them so after multiple tests and 10 hours of tweaking and retweaking issue is ongoing and its affecting 100s if not 1000s of other people. ASUS found a BIO fix for this by putting out update where you can turn on the option called "Monitoring Software reboot Workaround" and it has fixed it for everyone on ASUS boards. I'm told MSI actually recently put out similar update for BIO on some but not all the MOBOs. I'd really love your opinion on this. I deleted and have no software monitoring other than L-connect 3 for my fans and AMD Adrenaline itself. I had Gigabyte Control Center (GCC) off as well when I replicated the issue so it wasn't that either. Below are the boards that this issue is currently ongoing and probably even more.
B650E AORUS ELITE X ICE
X670E TUF GAMING PLUS WIFI
X670E Taichi Carrara
X670E Taichi
B650 Steel Legend
B650E Taichi Lite
X870 Steel Legend
X870E Nova WiFi
X870 Aorus Elite Wifi 7 Ice
X870 Aorus Pro Ice
I've put all the peices together and am trying to boot into the bios on the gigabyte x370 k7, but the LED code keeps coming up as '0d'. All fans are running, I've cleared CMOS, but I just can't get into the bios...
Any suggestions?
EDIT: I ended up figuring this out in case anyone else has the same problem - turns out if you make a hardware change on this board (i.e. removing the CPU) it does not output video long enough for most monitors to detect the input and so it never works. In order to get around this; I plugged the video output into my old TV which has no timeout if video input isn't detected - display output then worked and after saving the BIOS settings it was able to boot into Windows. This also occurred with a replacement Gigabyte X570S board with a brand new 5950x and required the same steps to resolve.
I'm in the process of moving hardware across to a new case (also upgrading PSU, CPU cooler and adding RAM + another NVME M.2) and I've run into an issue where my X570 Aorus Master rev 1.2 won't POST at all and no video output works from an installed GPU. The status codes on the board only show '00' and never cycle to anything else. Everything powers on but that's about it.
So far I've tried everything I can think of; reseated CPU and GPU, switched back to an older RAM kit, tried different PSU cables, borrowed other GPUs, removed the new SSD, reset CMOS, removed CMOS battery, tried to use BIOS flashback, switched to another BIOS on the board switches, attempted Qflash Plus which didn't seem to do anything (this is where i reseated the CPU since the Qflash requires removing it). If you can think of it, I've probably already done it.
Just wondering if anyone else has run into the same problem and what the cause may have been, because otherwise the only other thing I can think of is to replace the motherboard and/or CPU.
