I do but don't let it start up with Windows and don't download Norton or CFosSpeed. It's bloatware crap. GCC is buggy trash so don't use it for any fan control or anything. Unfortunately if you have RGB you might be stuck with it. Answer from Inevitable_Silver_13 on reddit.com

Does anyone else have the same problem and can explain why GGC can no longer control my RAM RGB? It was working fine until recently, and now the setting is missing in GGC. Could this be a bug caused by updates? I’ve already reinstalled it, but it still doesn’t work.

Afternoon all!

For those that have been effected by the latest GCC updated. Please make sure error logging is enabled in GCC.

And can you respond with the model of your gpu (revision too if its more than 1.0) and a copy of the error log.

You can also drop these error logs to me in the Aorus discord, and i'll pass them upward.

Also, if you can check in C:\Program Files\GIGABYTE\Control Center\logs too, that will be helpful.

for anyone that is still on 23.03.02.01, please, stay there!

UPDATE

If you can forward your error logs before doing this, this will help getting this bug fixed :)

But, for the mean time.

Navigate to C:\Program Files\GIGABYTE\Control Center\Lib\Download

Locate GBT_VGA_23.03.10.01.exe, and reinstall it from here.

This has fixed it my end, but some confirmation would be nice!

UPDATE 2 For those that do not have GBT_VGA_23.03.10.01.exe locally on their machine, here is a direct link from gigabytes servers. https://mb.download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Swhttp/LiveUpdate4/GCC/GBT_VGA/GBT_VGA_23.03.10.01.exe

UPDATE 3 Gigabyte has pushed out an update on the 11th of april that fixes the issue around GBT_VGA_23.04.07.02. GBT_VGA_23.04.11.01 is now available for download within GCC.

UPDATE 4 There may still be issues, if you have any, please post them below.

r/gigabyte on Reddit: GCC update completely killed RAM RGB control
January 8, 2026 -

Over the weekend there was a new update for GCC, version 25.10.16.01, I installed the update and after that my G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB no longer shows up in RGB Fusion. I used revo uninstaller to completely remove the new GCC and reinstalled the prev one I had but to my surprise the issue still remained, I tried all I could with no luck so I figured I'll just go back to using the Trident Z Lighting Control app which I knew worked before, and yet again I'm left surprised because it doesn't show up there either nor does it respond to any changes.

The RAM itself still lights up in it's default rainbow effect but I seem to have lost all control of it because of that update, any suggestions?

I have to keep the app open in my system tray for my rgb to stay on and of course the app has fan control which overrides the bios fan setup everytime i open it and ramps up the fan speed so my pc can fly to the moon with all that fking airflow and of course the fan speed doesn't go to normal unless i restart my pc.🤡

September 16, 2023 -

Hey guys,

I've read everywhere that GCC is dog water, but wanted to double check if I should or shouldn't update all the things it is telling me, for example:

I just built this PC and everything is working fine, so am a bit cautious of this. Also, for some reason on my gb 4070 aorus master, my gpu is not even being detected in rgb fusion 2.0.

Any ideas?

r/gigabyte on Reddit: problem with Gigabyte Control Center (GCC) update
February 19, 2025 -

Hello, I have a small problem. A few days ago, a Gigabyte Control Center update appeared, and I installed it on February 14th, 2025. After the update, the computer restarted. When I launched a game like CS2 or another, the graphics card fans started to run incredibly loudly, like a fighter jet. In the CS2 lobby, the RPM is 3000. I should add that before the update, I had no problems; the computer ran quietly even in more demanding titles. I tried to revert the update to the previous version, but it had no effect. I also set the fan curves, saved them, but they always reset to the previous values after restarting the computer.

Motherboard: B650 Eagle Graphics card: Gigabyte RX 7800xt 16GB

If anyone can help, I would be grateful. Below I'm sending a few screenshots from GCC.

I'm also sending the list of updates that were installed on February 14th, 2025. Maybe someone has an earlier version of GCC and a download link? That would be great.

r/gigabyte on Reddit: Gigabyte Control Center not opening
April 3, 2025 -

I know most people hate this app but I can't even get it to open. I will download it and install it but then when I go to open the app up the icon pops up in the taskbar for a split second and then disappears.

I've read other posts with people having the same issues and none of those solutions have worked.

I uninstalled and reinstalled this program a million times but it has never opened for me. All my drivers and bios are updated on everything.

Why is this happening? Has anyone else experienced the same thing? What can I do to fix this?

List of things I've already tried:

  • Disabled memory integrity under core isolation in windows settings

  • Moved GCC folder to exclusions in windows security

  • Made sure c++ redistributables are working

  • Disabling virtual machine platform (were never enabled)

r/gigabyte on Reddit: Bios update from gcc
October 9, 2024 -

EDIT : After manually turning off my pc, waited a few minutes, turned it on, i miraculously ended up on my desktop, my bios is still 6.6.2024 and hasnt updated to the september 2024 version, will try that as soon as i got a usb drive at home

Well, I've let the gcc software update my bios when I wanted to update other drivers, nothing told me if the update were done or not, after an hour I decided to reboot after watching some stuff on yt, and I'm stuck on a black screen, since the only other drivers were related to wifi, my guess is that the bios one on another panel decided to be installed too. I only have access to my gigabyte bios now on a b760 ds3h ax what's weird is that it says my bios date is from 6.6.2024 how do I solve that please :(

r/gigabyte on Reddit: Gigabite Control Center doesn't update BIOS
November 21, 2025 -

I have a BIOS update that I want to do and I want to do it though GCC, I select the update as shown as it's available, I click install, then the prompt that the PC will need restarting appears, I hit OK and then nothing happens, GCC says there is no update available and I only have the option to close.... I don't know how to fix this.
I am on BIOS version F12 and the available one in GCC is F14 even though the latest one is F15 on the website.

November 29, 2012 - My monitors are a Gigabyte M32U and an M28U with the M28U in portrait. Both monitors are plugged into the GPU via DP. I understand the order they are plugged in dictates which monitor the BIOS displays on. With the current configuration, Windows says the M32U (my main) is Diplay 2 and the M28U shows as Display 1. When I go into BIOS, it will show on the M32U/Display 2, but GCC always opens off screen on the M28U.
