Hi guys

i just recently install windows 11 and I cant play valorant. it says that I have to enable secure boot . Then, to enable secure boot i have to disable CSM . when i try to disable CSM, save it and exit, the CSM setting is back to enable.

i have a gigabyte motherboard and both my disks' partitions is gpt.

Open the BIOS and go to the Advanced mode Under [settings] menu enable [AMD CPU FTPM] - (if you have an AMD CPU) Under [Boot] Menu Disable CSM Support then you will see a new option down called Secure Boot Open [Secure Boot] and change it to (Enabled) if it was set to (Disabled) then click [Secure Boot mode] and change it to (Standard) - and I like to mention that if you find [Secure Boot mode] is set to (Standard) already, change it to (Custom) and then change it to (Standard) again, that will reset the Standard mode to make sure that you won't have an issue that Secure Boot State is still OFF after Enabling in BIOS which I had and that fixed it - Then hit F10 or [Save and Exit] and restart your pc ... open [System Information] on Windows and check the [Secure Boot State].

how is the hard rive formatted? IIRC, you need to have the drive formatted for a specific format, GPT i think. If you have MBR as your drive format, it wont work. Had the same problem myself.

Secure boot enabled but not active for windows 11

As posted make sure its Secure Boot you need - not just UEFI boot. Make sure you are booting OK with CSM disabled before changing Secure Boot settings. People have bricked their system by following the wrong steps. I also had it saying enabled not Active - this is a BIOS glitch it's not really enabled On the secure boot settings if it says Mode:User you should be able to simply Enable Secure Boot Otherwise (if it says Mode:Setup) - Disable Secure Boot if it says Enabled - If it says Standard change to Custom - Change Custom to Standard accepting Factory Defaults - Enable Secure Boot More on reddit.com

Hey, I’m trying to get my pc to work with windows 11. I enabled tpm 2.0 and secure boot before installing it, Updated my bios and installed. However secure boot says it’s off on windows 11 and not active in bios even though it was on when I was running windows 10. I have an Aorus elite b550, r7 5800x and 3070. Any help with this would be great. Thanks in advance!

Go to BIOS and reset the keys. I enabled secure boot and it showed "off" in Windows. After I went into BIOS and reset the keys, it shows as "on" now. EDIT: Reset keys = reset factory defaults (I think that's what it's called).

Make sure your pc has CSM disabled. If it isn’t you need to check to see if it will boot after disabling it. Don’t disable it and then try enabling secure boot straight away. Restart the machine and make sure it boots ok or you risk bricking the mobo. Currently the system mode (at the top of your screenshot) is set to setup. We need to change this to User. To do this you need to disable secure boot, yours says enabled. Then change secure boot mode from standard to custom. Change it back from custom to standard accepting the factory defaults Then re-enable secure boot.

I'm stuck in a boot loop with a "Secure Boot Violation: Invalid signature detected. Check Secure Boot Policy in Setup" error on my Gigabyte motherboard.

The Problem:

I can access the BIOS, but the Secure Boot options (like Restore Factory Keys or changing the Secure Boot Mode) are greyed out and I cannot select or change them.
Secure Boot is showing as "Enabled" but "Active: Off".
CSM Support is currently Disabled.

What I've tried:

Restarting and entering BIOS multiple times.
Looking for a way to reset keys, but the options are not clickable.

Unplug, turn tsu switch off, press the power button a couple of times then remove the battery for a minute or so.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to try the BF6 Open Beta this weekend and I had a message saying Secure Boot was disabled. Therefore I went to the UEFI to enable the Secure Boot then restarted the computer and, since that moment, it doesn't Boot anymore.

As you can see it cycles between VGA then CPU and DRAM then it stops. I tried to remove the CMOS battery (all night) then I put it back this morning, nothing changed. Also tried to remove my RAM, same issue, then put my RAM back one by one on the closest slot from the CPU and .... still that cycle.

Everything is powering up, but it keeps cycling again and again. Saw somewhere some manipulations saying to hold the power button, or hold the power and reset button, but no success.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite V2 and there's no Q-FLASH usb port, no BIOS reset button and I'm starting to think about buying a new one as this one seems bricked.

Do you guys have any suggestions to make it work again? If there's no solution, maybe any recommendations for a new one? I saw the ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WI-FI II that might be a good option.

There's a battery between pci-e slots. you may need to remove gpu to reach it. switch off psu, no need to remove cable from wall. remove battery. press and hold power button for a few times to drain power from mobo caps. After a minute, put the battery back. switch on the psu. then try booting again. If it doesn't, remove your ssd/hdd and try if it at least goes into bios.

Mate, I'm in the same position. My motherboard has no Q-Flash button, and it doesn't even display anything on the monitor. The only solution for us is to BIOS flash, which we can't even do, so it's bricked unless someone knows what can be done.
