3-pin 5 volt or 4 pin 12 volt, has 2 sets of each. I use Phanteks m25-140s (3pack), 120s (2-3packs) w hub and Deep Cool LS720 AIO w(Deep Cool 3pack w hub) . I would recommend a fan RGB/PWM hub to manage over 5-6 fans. I use a Lian Li O11DXL-X O11 Dynamic XL ROG case and replaced the front glass with a custom grill from a company in Europe that can mount 3 140s or 120 fans for better cooling and a customized look.

Does anyone have the Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard and have you had any problems with it? I am trying to decide on a motherboard for my pc build with an i7 13700k, 4090, and 64GB DDR5 6400 cl32 ram.
I am leaning toward this motherboard due to it having realtek lan instead of intel but I have read a few bad reviews on gigabyte boards. Thanks!

I'm not building a gaming PC, I'm building a PC for work - video editing, video production etc. I'm also on a bit of a budget, the CPU was the thing I splurged on.
It's also my first time building a PC.
This motherboard is within my budget and it appears to be the best within my price range, but I don't know nearly enough to be sure. All I know is that the I7 supports the Z790 chipset out of the box.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have the AORUS Elite X and 14700k and it's a great fit. There's no reason to get anything higher than the Elite X (e.g. Pro X) unless there's a specific feature you need.

The "Z" boards are for 'fine tuning' systems to get the best balance of speed/performance while staying stable and crash free. For gamers, this means the fastest fps and resource regulation. For your stated purposes with a large enough GPU, you can get the best rendering speeds possible. There are several YouTube vendors (Gamers Nexus, Jayztwocents, DerƁauer, more) that can step you through the software needed to fine tune your hardware choices (CPU, GPU, memory) including controlling voltages and overclocking for best real world results! How much pricing difference is there between the i7-13700K and the i9-14900K? Both work productivity software well with the 14900K giving you the best speeds in rendering, etc! Also, the 13900K will give you fabulous results! In your case, you'll want at least 64 gigs of at least 6000mhz ram as more ram for rendering is better. RAM on the GPU counts also. A card with 16 gigs GDDR6 renders faster.
