Does anyone have the Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard?

I have it with an i7 13700k and I have had no issues so far. I am using DDR5 with 32 GB 6000 Mhz and all I had to do was enable Xmp and undervolt a bit for better temps. The GCC tool is fine for installing all the drivers but after that I uninstalled it again. I recommend to update the bios before doing changes like undervolt since it reset my bios and even wiped my fan config. More on reddit.com

Sounds like a bad memory overclock. Set to the value guaranteed by intel for your Cpu (default 4800 for ddr5) and make sure memory is stable. Ddr5 is very different from years past, so read up on how to check memory and check system files as well as you may have corrupted them by now. Don't just turn on XMP, it is not a guarantee. Does anyone have the Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard and have you had any problems with it? I am trying to decide on a motherboard for my pc build with an i7 13700k, 4090, and 64GB DDR5 6400 cl32 ram.

I am leaning toward this motherboard due to it having realtek lan instead of intel but I have read a few bad reviews on gigabyte boards. Thanks!

Motherboards by and large have little effect on performance. Default BIOS settings can push things in one direction or another, but you can always change that yourself. The Z790 chipset is the same chipset no matter who the mobo manufacturer is.

I've been building since 1999. This is by far the worst motherboard I have ever installed.

The BIOS crashes constantly (flashed all the updates as they were released). I just had it crash three times in a row requiring a full reconfig of all the settings. At the time of the crash, I was typing something in discord.

If I try to play New World, it crashes my PC so hard the BIOS resets.... I can't even play that game at all.

On one of my flashes, it reset my Windows install, which for some reason Microsoft couldn't find attached to my account and I didn't have my old Windows 7 code (since I upgraded from 7, to 10 to 11 with out buying a new install). So Microsoft forced me to rebuy a new key.

This is becoming very frustrating and I don't even know how to start to try to figure out what is going wrong.
