We're looking for a sectional for our newly finished basement. Couch prices have skyrocketed since the new China tariffs so it's hard to find something. We found these 2 on Costco, but it's unfortunate not being able to see and sit on it in person.

So I'm wondering anyone has experience with Gilman Creek furniture? Is it quality stuff? Comfortable? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

They are OK, but not great. I have bought Leather living room sets for about the same price from Costco, and they are ok so far, but after buying it I found out that I could have had similar set from La-z-boy for only $500 more. Since then, I have had La-z-boy set in my basement and quality is definitely better and it is much more heavier (think - more hardwood inside and less particle board). And this was before pandemic. My sister ordered lots of furniture from Costco in August 2021, when she moved to a new house and she is still waiting for a dining table, one sectional, and 2 chairs. Try the local stores if you haven't already.

We bought it, it was great until a switch broke 2 months in. We contacted the manufacturer and they are horrible. It's been 4 months and we haven't been able to get them to schedule a repair or even send the parts. Gilman creek is incredibly inconsistent and incompetent. Costco won't do anything aside from accepting a return but to buy the couch again isore expensive. We bought it before the tariffs.
