I’m thinking about getting a GMMK board and not sure if I should order it without caps and get something like drop skylights instead. I’ve heard they are ABS but not necessarily bad, what’s your experience?
It look like Glorious has some decent keycaps that will fit Keychron boards. The kits appear to have what most windows users need - not sure about mac.

They also have some pudding caps that look promising, but I don't see the size chart for them.
Is there anything I am missing? Has anyone tired them out?

Looks like nobody has been talking about it, so a quick heads-up. Glorious will start dropping their limited edition keycaps tomorrow. I got a reminder e-mail.
I pre-registered out of curiosity several months ago, so I will receive a special password to order earlier as stated above. On May 8th, they will become available to everyone but there will be only 1000 sets on sale.
Not sure what to expect at all. Guess we'll see tomorrow!
So Glorious just released their first drop of their FOMO strategy. Do you think k this will hold up or is this just another Forge idea that’ll die off in a year?
I'm probably gonna buy the GMMK 2 soon even though I probably shouldn't, but oh well. I know I want PBT keycaps with double shot or whatever it is for the RGB. Don't really want pudding. Gonna be using the keyboard for gaming and obviously typing because what else do you do with a keyboard. Don't plan on typing whole essays or anything, but I also don't want typing to be unpleasant. Idk if typing can really be bad with any keycaps or switches unless the keycaps and switches are just bad, but still including this just in case.
Would it be possible to keep it under like $130? I can go up to maybe $140, maybe a little more if necessary, but under $130 is the goal. If I have to go above $140 for anything good I'll have to wait a little longer than I want to, but if it's worth it then that should be fine. Maybe should I buy the prebuilt and just buy new keycaps? I kinda wanna get the compact one with the look of the stock keycaps, but also they're ABS. My current keyboard has ABS and I don't want shiny keycaps.
I have a GMMK2 and i was wondering if the steel series pudding double shot PBT or hyperX pudding double shot PBT keycaps would work on my board (I dont know much about keyboards lol)
I just built my keyboard and won’t arrive until 2 weeks. I added lynx he silent switches. Am I able to use my set of gmk key caps on it?
Are they OEM or cherry?
Just preordered my GMMK Pro. Never done a build before so I've never shopped for keycaps. Just looking for some recommended vendors with good selections to look through. Also, are all keycaps standard? Is there anything I should be looking for to make sure they are compatible with my GMMK Pro?
Thanks
Need recommendations for keycaps that will fit the gmmk pro that aren’t the aura ones. Double shot pbt with shinethrough for the rgb. Any nice ones I can check out? Plain black is fine.
Finally good quality, shine-through, cherry profile caps!
Are they all going to be a mostly normal key set with like 4 novelty keys? I had hope with the Sketch, but Code Brew and Kabuto feel like you could find a very similar set for half the price on Amazon.
I bought the Aura keycaps, but I cannot see the legends very well. If I crank up the brightness, it just makes the white bottom wash out the legends, too.
I was looking for something like this:
https://drop.com/buy/artifact-bloom-series-keycap-set-glow/photos#photos
Things I would like in a keycap set:
-
South/Bottom/Front legends to match the LEDs.
-
Clean design that doesn't make a reflection or show oils.
If anyone has any suggestions for keycaps sets like this, I would love to hear.
I can't find any that match the GMMK pro's south-facing LEDs.
edit: I purchased the Artifact Bloom keycaps. I have been using them for weeks and I can say that all my complaints are resolved! They are excellent.
I have the GMMK pro from Glorius and wanted to have shine through ABS keycaps because I like smooth keycaps and figured buying them from Glorius would ensure they considered their south facing lights. For 36$ I've never encountered such poor quality keycaps (I have a few keyboards, some just stock) - I'm honestly shocked they sell these on their site and I have requested a return (we'll see what they say).
Their Site: As you can see in the photos their site shows smooth keycaps and a okay shine of the keys so you can tell what you're clicking
Reality: I have my settings on 100% brightness - there is no shine through with these keycaps which just makes the clear lettering pointless to read. Maybe people already knew this but for those that did NOT know - buy your keycaps from someone else, not glorius, if you're looking for shine through.
Reality Expectation
Ayo! I work in a dark enviroment, and I really need some backlit keycaps for the gmmk pro. I was considering getting ceramics, but those are pretty scarce right now. Any suggestions for keycaps? I feel like I should know more about them but I don't actually know that much. Thanks!
