Long story short, my YouTube account manager tried to take my account from me completely so he can use up my AdSense money.
I secured my account. I am logged onto my account with only my laptop. I cannot log out of the account via the laptop as I might not be able to log back in. Any changes I want to try and do it requests that I verify via text message or call to a number that isnt mine.
The account recovery is odd. there are two options, one where I use my phone to add the account and i get a code that I have to input from my gmail onto my phone and that takes 24 hours.
The second is recovery via the laptop and i apparently get a link in 48 hours.
The first recovery option apparently didnt work and google didnt help me recover the account. The second one I just tried now so I am not sure what will happen....any tips here? I've got a pretty decent sized youtube account...
