January 29, 2023 - Does anyone else here that one woman near the cinema who always says, ‘I FEEL LILE GOING TO THE MOVIES’ ... When this happens, you are lucky because you must complete 2 instead of 3 daily objectives. I got this bug with payphone hits before and I need to complete one payphone mission and 2 ticks ;) ... Makes the challenge easy. ... Participate in the Cayo Perico Series. Though this reminds me of one time when I was sourcing Air Freight Cargo, and the Daily Objectives reset while doing so: https://old.reddit.com/r/gtaonline/comments/18x3mpp/ok_i_guess_i_will_source_some_air_cargo_today_the/

January 27, 2022 -

Definitely one of the most underrated movies ever. Great comedy/action movie about the drug deal gone wrong. Story is told from three different points of view. It reminds me of some Tarantino's movies.. It's filled with action, lots of accidental events, jokes, great characters...

Haven't been surprised like this by some movie for a long time. Think it deserves much heigher score.

Big recommendation!

I realize $200 in 1999 is more like $500 or $1000 now, but Ronna and co go to so much trouble over not much money. I forgot how little it was. On the one hand it seems like too little if you're not in high school but on the other hand it's interesting to watch a movie where the characters put up with so much for so little. Not a criticism exactly, just caught my eye. Also Go is finally streaming!

June 8, 2023 - There are a lot of movies that mention or show Go here: https://senseis.xmp.net/?Movies — my favorites include The Divine Move and Tokyo Newcomer. ... The Divine Move is great. Proper balance between being serious and being nonsense.

I used to use Stremio. For website I used GoMovies. I recently formatted my laptop and don’t want to install Stremio again, so I’m looking for some good alternatives. Which websites do you use? Or do you still prefer Stremio? or are there other better ones like Stremio?

r/movies on Reddit: Just rewatched "Go", a largely forgotten 90's gem.
April 9, 2019 -

Absolutely stands up to a re-watch.

I was talking to my brother about this movie a week ago, and today I found it at the Dollar Tree. For a dollar.

I can't believe this movie isn't more popular.

It had a stellar cast: Sarah Polley, Taye Diggs, Brecker Meyer (Road Trip), Scott Wolf, William Fitchner, Jay Mohr, Katie fucking Holmes, and even the great Timothy Oliphant. And it also had a small part played by Melissa McCarthy.

Tells intersecting stories that weave a totally cohesive narrative, with genuine humor (The rave hit and run and the dinner scene) and bursts of violence.

To those who don't know this movie exists: Find it. Watch it. I bought it for one dollar at the Dollar tree.

To those who saw it, give it another watch.

r/movies on Reddit: Finally got around to watching Go (1999)
July 21, 2024 -

I loved this movie so much. I had the sound track when I was younger but had no idea what the movie was about.

It's such a perfect edgy 90s movie. It has everything you could want from the late 90s/early 2000s, including great music.

It also cuts across so many different genres that it's kind of impressive. I didn't fully realize it until the movie ended. Go is technically:

  1. A drug/crime drama

  2. A coming-of-age comedy

  3. A Christmas movie

  4. A boys-vacation-gone-wrong movie

  5. An anthology movie

  6. A comedy-of-errors

  7. A workplace comedy

  8. A dark comedy

I'm sure there's more than that I haven't thought of yet.

If you haven't had a chance to watch it, please do. Especially if you grew up around that time.

r/movies on Reddit: App for movie recs
July 3, 2025 -

A problem I’ve noticed is that different streaming services only recommend movies within their own platforms, and an app like Letterboxd doesn’t directly give recommendations. That makes it hard to find good movie recs, which usually leads me back to podcasts and Reddit. Would creating an app that recommends movies fill a space people actually want, or does something like this already exist?

gomovies was my goto pirate streaming site for years. all of its servers, UpCloud, AKcloud, and vidcloud are down, it says "We can't find the file you are looking for. It maybe got deleted by the owner or was removed due a copyright violation." this saddens me deeply. just wanted to make this post to see if anyone knew if it was permanent or temporary. the site i use itself is still up, just none of the servers are

August 14, 2011 - Since its plot took place in woods, I'm now looking for a horror/thriller movie with a similar vibe. I unfortunately have watched most of the mainstream ones (Wrong turn, Cabin in the woods etc.) so I would love to watch some that kind of went under the radar. Also I don't really like gore, I'm more into this creepy, something-is-off vibe.

there used to be this site called gomovies. and the link i bookmarked was gomovies. pe but every time i click the link, it takes me to fiixhive for whatever reason for the past 3 4 days.

That former website had insane level of UX. i log in my account, i watch something on desktop and if i close and go to bed to watch in mobile, it shows continue watching panel, where i can just continue the show.
what happened to that site? anybody know anything about it or familiar with the site?
