I have no clue how to set up a website on my own, it’s fairly expensive to have done, but this offers an AI generated option that is customizable and sets up an online style for product.
Just wondering if anyone has tried it and what site some pros and cons
Hi! I need some advice. I recently retired, but I plan to consult in the field I worked in for the past 40 years. I will have a very small clientele in consulting, but as a side gig, I would like to produce a blog that has a subscription and introduces people to me. I would like to monetize the blog. I currently host a blog on substack, but it has devolved from a writing space into another political minefield of social media or so it seems to me. So, I need a website host that is secure, multi-dimensional, allows me to use a domain name I bought on godaddy, and is good for someone with no coding skills.
I went to godaddy and they have a new product that seems to be included in the price of the domain. It seemed to rely on ai and it was annoying af immediately, because it came up with a bunch of random pictures and no clear way to change them. I might not have a lot of coding skills, but I still don't want to be a generic ai site. I read a bunch of other threads on here, but none seemed to answer the multi-dimensional nature of what I want and don't want...
Thank you!

I changed themes for one of my websites (I have two). It's now displaying "powered by GoDaddy Airo" as the footer instead of my copyright. Other than updating the theme, nothing else has changed.
Support says to just re-edit the footer but that hasn't helped.
Hello, so I am in the middle of designing a website and a client wants me to put things together using Airo.
There are a couple of things that I would like to include such as; Adding an image in the footer and adding an email address into the header. I've been scanning through all the options and I don't see any option to simply drop in a text box or an image in either the footer or header. Although Airo does support custom code, only for the body of the website, from what I can tell. You can add a Phone Number in the header and footer.
Is there something I am missing or am I SOL and I need to communicate back with the client with the limitations of Airo?
Edit: I've just added the email into the Phone field, it's kinda silly but it functionally works when you click on it. it would automatically make a mailto: url for emails separately from Phone numbers. I guess that just leaves adding an image to the footer. I guess I could imitate the look of the footer by adding a section on top and adding a dark color to blend both sections together...
My wife has a company and GoDaddy hosts everything. I looked at invoicing and GoDaddy is charging us $180.00 a year for the website. We also have 3 employee emails, the 1st email is $70.00 for 1 year 2nd email is another $70.00 per year and 3rd email is $50.00 per year. I don't know the price seems awfully high but I have no experience with this sort of thing.
It's 2023 and there is so much competition. Yeah I get the website is $180.00 for a year but GoDaddy charges extra because they are easy to find via SEO so maybe we can get that cheaper but the emails.... I mean come on what the heck $190.00 for 3 emails every year?!
I searched older Reddit posts but I'm kinda confused and was hoping someone could give me the down low on this sort of thing.
I've just started my own woodworking business, filed with the state and now onto website ideas. I bought the domain name and need to create a simple web page. I'm not looking thinking of e-commerce or online payments. Would you use godaddy or wix to build the pages and why?
