godaddy email $72 to $192, per account, per year ?!?!?
GoDaddy email service
Going from Godaddy directly to Microsoft Email Plan
We used to use godaddy’s unlimited email plan which allowed unlimited users for one price. Now godaddy dropped their unlimited plans and now offer ridiculous higher per individual user plans. What is a good alternative for unlimited users accounts for one flat fee?

Hi,
My friend has a low traffic basic site using godaddy site builder. company info, pictures, contact info. No e-commerce or customer interactivity at all.
Friend signed up for godaddys minimum plan, and somehow got upsold on who knows what totaling $1000 his first year for his webpage.
Today, friend told me in addition to the $1000, they were told it cost an additional $72 per email address, per year.
Thinking this is clearly wrong, I had a look.

Despite charging you an additional fee for trash 360 webmail, none of these plans actually say email hosting.
Looking a little further. holy shit..**.**email accounts really are $72 to $192, per email address, per year ?!?!? Can that be real?

Am I missing something? Does go daddy just fool you in with (really just average) pricing, deny you email accounts, and then wack you with with up charges? I under stand upselling shit because everyone does it, but $72 minimum per email account, is that just extortion at that point?
For comparison, I host two domains with unlimited email accounts and bandwidth for $150 a year on inmotion hosting... and that's not even new user competitive rates.
Someone set me straight here do they really sell a web hosting package with no email hosting or am I understanding this incorrectly.
update:
the comments keep saying there is a basic email, but no one can actually point to where it says that on godaddys website. Email aliases are not new separate email accounts. I just helped friend with account. There is no option anywhere. Everything is a reoccurring $72 per email account using 360 only. I did get to workspace control center which you can create emails...but, they are locked out of doing so once logged in saying to call customer service phone number if you want email. then customer service wants the insane Microsoft subscription email fee. On top of already paying 10x the average price to host a fucking webpage with restaurant menu.
This is the most predatory hosting company I have ever come across.
Does anyone I know have any experience with GoDaddy.com and their hosting services, including email?
Can I setup emails for multiple people to use, or will all the emails feed into one account?
Is it easy to setup for multiple users?
Hello, not sure how this works but I'm currently with Godaddy month-to-month. It's expensive for the basic package I need, a godaddy rep said I could get an email directly through microsoft, is this true?
I'm on Microsofts webpage right now and it's $19 CAD for a year with outlook which is all I need, or $115 for the full suite which is 1/3 the price of godaddy.
Just a little confused on the actual email domain part - does Microsoft actually provide email domains, or just storage? Would I cancel my email with Godaddy completely and transfer it to Microsoft, or just combine the two? I have until Nov 5th to do this.
Not sure what steps to take, having it all with microsoft would be easier.
Thanks!
It's actually very easy to migrate your data from one Office 365 tenant to another. It can be done fairly cheap too through third-party tools, or even free depending on how much data you're looking at migration. I'm a member of the community just like you and not affiliated with Microsoft. I'd be happy to guide you through the process though. Here's the gist:
- If you're the only user, you can make an Outlook PST, Otherwise, consider using a thirdparty tool (I recommend MigrationWiz BitTitan)
- Once you have the data moved from one tenant to another, you'll need to defederate the domain from GoDaddy, This is as simple as a few PowerShell commands.
- Lastly, add the domain to your new Office 365 tenant and add it as the primary alias for all users.
If you need further help with this, I can give you step by step instructions through the process.
O365 Personal/Family does not include Exchange
And no you will not be able to use O365 P or F with your GoDaddy domain/email once GoDaddy is cancelled
There is a whole complicated process to go through to transfer the Domain to MS, an O365 Bus version
