It took them 6 hours to decide to keep my $12k. Its been 26 hours since i fulfilled the request, they wont’ respond. I’ve sent 6 emails, initiated a text chat and I’ve been on hold for almost 1 hour 40 minutes. This ahould be illegal. Im a small business.

Warning: Terrible experience, beware everyone! I had the same issue when I opened an account 8 months ago. When the first transaction went through them, they held onto the money for 10 days and then sent me the letter below! It's a joke, and I'll never use these guys for payment processing again. ==================== Unfortunately, GoDaddy Payments will not be able to service your account due to certain risk factors. Effective immediately, you can no longer process payments. We will ensure that all pending transactions and/or deposits are settled and deposited into your account, if any. DO NOT USE GO DADDY FOR PROCESSING PAYMENTS!! My story below Several years ago, I invested in a comprehensive suite of processing products that would enable me to process credit card payments both on-site with clients and online. However, this year, I was only able to process a single transaction. This transaction was conducted online, with the client using their own credit card from their IP address. On the second occasion when the client attempted to pay for services rendered, the payment processor, GoDaddy, retained the funds. The options presented to me were to allow GoDaddy refund the client (while still charging all processing fees), or to permit GoDaddy to retain the entire amount of $3600 for 120 days. My client and I decided to request GoDaddy to process the refund. This situation resulted in GoDaddy retaining processing fees for a transaction they never processed. They merely held the funds without depositing them into my business account. GoDaddy requested several documents, which I promptly supplied. These included proof of my business’s ten-year history, the business contract I had with the client who was using my services, and three months’ worth of bank statements. Despite providing all requested documentation, GoDaddy still attempted to retain the funds for 120 days. This experience has underscored the importance of carefully considering the terms and conditions of payment processors when conducting business transactions. I emailed GoDaddy with the request to refund my client. In response, I received an email from them stating their intention to retain the funds for a period of 120 days. As of today’s date, 5/29/2024, they have indicated that they will not provide any further information or updates on this matter until 9/24/2024. This is the current status of the situation. Let me know if you have had the same experience.

Most credit card processing and e-commerce platforms are like this, not just godaddy. If you don’t like it, switch away from godaddy and find a company that offers instant payouts. More on reddit.com
