I love the idea of buying British and trying to where I can but the truth is the high street is filled with fast fashion built in sweatshops.
It can take a lot of time and research to find good British brands as there are just so few to choose from, so I thought it would be good to put a discussion together for people to talk about any British brands they've used (Ideally made in the UK, but I know that's rare) to build our awareness.

I (25M) am fed up of buying new clothes that don't last. A lot of the clothes I buy fall apart after a few wears or begin to fade after a few washes.
Where can I get some good quality clothing that can last me a long time?
A lot of the wonderful knowledge on this sub seems to be American based brands, especially thrift shops which we seem to lag hugely behind in the UK (unless I'm looking in the wrong locations).
For reference- I am 5"5, smaller waist with larger hips and bum, slender thighs and teenie calves. I have quite an athletic upper build.
So far I've tried Massimo Dutti on sale (I'm quite a frugal freak). I've seen some recommendations for COS but they're quite steep. If they're the only option then I'll start low and build slow! I'm also keen to see if there's any hotspots for buying thrifted quality items. Most charity shops nowadays just seem to be cycling through people's unwanted primark clothes.
It would be nice to have a breakdown for high waisted jeans, trousers, cotton tees, oversized oxford/poplin shirts, v-neck cardigans etc.
My main colour palette is black, brown, navy and burgundy, if that's needed.
I feel like the quality of women’s high street clothing has decreased quite a lot over recent years. I’m not in the market for very high end designer clothes but I do want to be sure that the quality of the clothes justifies the price, nothing over the low hundreds. I’m also 28(F) so am not looking for shops or brands that are aimed at older women.
What brands are worth the price?
