I‘ve been getting occasional mails in my gmail from services that someone else signed up to with my mail because, I’m assuming, they thought that was their email or mistyped it. That’s on the service providers if they just accept anyone without email verification. It’s bad enough that I can just reset the password on the service using my email confirmation, but lately I’ve been getting mails from addresses with . in them.
If my email were mymail23 then I’m also receiving mails from my.mail23 or mymail.23 for example.
How’s that work?
As an end-user, you should not worry about a specific URL to sign in to a Google account. Any web app that requires you to be authorized will show a page telling you if you have to sign in or request access and will give you the option to switch accounts. However, the company might set rules about the single sign-on solution to be used, but again, this is not something that, as an end-user, you should worry about, as the sign-in flow should point you through the processes.
