What is the average cost per click (CPC) on Google Ads in 2025?
How are advertisers adjusting to rising Google Ads costs?
Which industries have the highest CPCs on Google Ads?
I am a small business that does TV Installations, WiFi, Home Automation, Security, etc. Most of my business has been word of mouth and i'm doing pretty good for myself, but i'm ready to ramp up and take on more work. Eventually I want to hire my first technician and I need that steady supply of work in order to do that. Right now I would say i'm busy for at least 1/2 of the month, and that pays the bills.
I have someone who runs my website (in my industry as well) and i've inquired about Google Ads. I've been told that they have a monthly fee of $580 and suggest running a minimum of $30/day. So for the first month I would be looking at around $1500. They've suggested we do small ads, like TV mounting, and that I will recover the money easily.
For a small business like mine I just can't wrap my head around spending the $1500. I've also attempted FB and Instagram ads before with mixed success, so i've already wasted my own money doing this to where I just want to hire someone who can do this for me. Is $1,500 with ad cost normal for something like this?
