Do UTM parameters work in Google Analytics 4?
To be honest, something seems broke to me. Ive sent test links with "test" as source, medium and campaign and these don't appear on real time view for acquisition. Also, they dont end up showing at all in the acquisition menu. All my Facebook posts with links using UTMs seem kinda broke, basically I manually tag them but then on GA this traffic appears as referral for medium and campaign, even though the UTM specificied otherwise... I've also done fb ads campaigns with 70k unique user clicking while GA4 only detected 1.6k... Also, GA4 has several metrics for acquisition that are more focused on the user and less on click source. For example, you now have acquisition for traffic (based on what brought that session in) and for users (seems like "where did that user came from on the last visit", a little like last click attribution). If you can, base that UTM tracking on UA and not GA4 More on reddit.com
