I think Antigravity is easily worth the hype. I love it so far. Key will be what Google does with pricing. But I just love that Google is going after the entire stack and not just the model. Answer from bartturner on reddit.com

r/google on Reddit: Antigravity vs VS Code: Is Google's IDE worth the hype or just another tool
1 month ago -

Been testing Antigravity out for the past week and I gotta be honest with y'all. It's giving potential but also giving unfinished at the same time. The AI features are lowkey helpful for autocompleting code snippets but VS Code with Copilot is still way more stable imo. Antigravity kept throwing file corruption errors when I tried batch operations which is not it for production work. The learning curve seems steeper too and the UI feels bloated compared to VS Code's minimalism. Not hating on it though, Google has the resources to fix these issues and I see where they're going with the full-stack AI assistant angle. For serious projects I'm still team VS Code but curious if anyone else has had better luck with Antigravity. What's your take on it

Google's Antigravity beats VS Code at its own game
3 weeks ago - Google has always been an all-in-one company, but for the longest time, it didn’t have an IDE. I was always surprised that the search giant never built anything to go up against VS Code or newer forks like Cursor. Turns out they finally did, with something called Antigravity.

I ditched VS Code for Google’s Antigravity, and I’m not going back
1 week ago - I created the initial project in Xcode, and then the rest of the app was built purely with Gemini and Antigravity—I know zero Swift whatsoever. There’s no other tool that I have ever used which could go from zero to fully functional app, basically ready to release to the public baring a few minor tweaks, in under an hour. Add to that I still get all the same VS Code capabilities, like remote development on my server, extensions like PlatformIO for building microcontroller projects, and the plethora of other plugins available and Google has a clear winner on their hands.

I Ditched VS Code for Google’s “Antigravity” for a Week. Here is What Happened. | by Uvindu E | Nov, 2025 | Medium
November 26, 2025 - Instead of a messy chat history where code gets lost, Antigravity generates Artifacts. These are clean, Markdown-based reports of what the agent did. It feels professional. It hands you a report saying, “I modified these 3 files, ran these 2 tests (they passed), and here is a screenshot of the result.” It respects your time. During the preview, you get access to Gemini 3 Pro for free. Given the token costs of these long-context agent loops, this is an insane value. Grab it before Google puts a price tag on it.

This post covers setting up Google Antigravity, the new VS Code fork for agentic AI coding, when coming from VS Code. Primarily I am a .NET / web developer, so some of this post will focus on set up for .NET / C#, but much of it will be common to many developer workflows.
