And wanted to know if it’s safe to change the address without google flagging it and suspending listing. I’ve heard they can be really strict with that sort of thing. Yes, have done it a few times recently with no problems. First update your paperwork (licences, etc). Then update your website, socials, and directory mentions. After that's all done, THEN update the Google listing. Also, if you're moving a long way ( a few hundred miles, it may be better to close that listing then start a new one.

I've seen a lot of GMB posts, but nobody is talking about what to do if you don't use your home address, and the business registration paperwork is using the Registered Agent address, and you just have a mailing address like a UPS box. Google doesn't allow such mailing addresses, and a Registered Agent can only receive legal documents, no mail.
It's critical my home address is not on the public record. Is the only way to actually go rent an office suite, something with a physical address? Would I need to change business registration paperwork with the state, or is just having a lease in the business name adequate? I'm very confused that Google demands a physical address to send mail to, as for a service area business there is no need for a storefront, just a Registered Agent and a mailing address (UPS, virtual address). I can't be the only one who thinks it's ridiculous.
