r/usertesting on Reddit: $10 test from Google, Chrome privacy settings
5 days ago -
I completed a test from Google about understanding your Settings for Chrome. Here is what I discovered, new to me, about Chrome defaults. From Chrome Settings, click on Sync and Google Services in the center box. Then scroll down to Make searches and browsing better. If it is turned on, it sends every single URL you click on to Google. I always turn it off for Microsoft Windows but didn't realize it was on by default for Chrome. So for years, Google has seen everywhere I've been. Not any more!

Chrome protects your privacy and puts you in control
When you use Chrome’s Incognito mode, others who use your device won’t see your activity. Your browsing history, cookies and site data, or information entered in forms won’t be saved, so you can browse more privately. This won’t change how data is collected by websites you visit and the services they use. Learn more about Incognito · Privacy settings built for you.
